CHAPTER 8 SECTION 8040 (2)
(RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BUILDING ``��
DEPARTMENT) OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT =rW
CODE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS,
FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, sitting
in regular meeting that:

Section 1: That Chapter 8,Floodplain Protection, Section 8040(2)Responsibilities - U;�;
of the Building Department of the Zephyrhills Land Development Code is hereby amended
and shall henceforth read as follows: . ,,,

SECTION 8040(2) Responsibilities of the Building Department: :ti
Refer permittees first to the Southwest Florida Water Management District _
(SWFWMD) for permitting, if the proposed project may alter wetlands, watercourses, or r:=
water bodies. Potential permittees shall provide an approved copy of SWFWMD's permits
or proof of exemption, together with the completed building permit application to the
building department. ,-
Advise
Advise permittee that additional federal or state permits may be required, and if
specific federal or state permits are known, require that copies of such permits be provided
and maintained on file with the development permit;
Section 2: The provisions of this Ordinance are severable, and if any section, - ,
sentence, clause, or phrase is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, invalid, or

ineffective, this holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of the j.
Ordinance, it being expressly declared to be the City Council's intent that it would have 4ti,-7-:
passed the valid portions of this Ordinance without the inclusion of any invalid portion or _

portions. -
Section 3: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage. ._
