BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, sitting in regular session, that: The following Sections of Chapter 23 : TAXATION of The Code of City of Zephyrhills, Florida, are hereby repealed and replaced with the language contained herein: ARTICLE III, SECTION 23-5: Levied; amounts. On each and every purchase of fuel oil, a tax shall be paid by the seller of such fuel oil whenever such sale is made within the corporate limits of the City of Zephyrhills. Such tax shall be at a rate of four cents ( 4 ) per gallon of fuel oil sold by the seller to the purchaser. ARTICLE IV. Excise Tax on Metered and Bottled Gas. SECTION 23-11: Levied; amounts. The City shall impose on each and every pruchase of metered and bottled gas, natural liquified petroleum, or manufactured liquified petroleum gas, a tax to be paid by the seller ' of such gas whenever such sale is made within the corporate -limits'_,;efthe City. This tax shall be based upon the charge made by the seller to the purchaser thereof and shall be in an amount equal to ten percent ( 10%) of the payment received by the seller --of the taxable item from the purchaser for the purchase of, such metered and bottled gas, natural liquified petroleum or _manufactured. 111 liquified petroleum gas. ARTICLE V. Excise Tax on Electricity, Telegraph Services/ etc. SECTION 23-17: Levied. It is the intent of this Ordinance to repeal the above specified Sections of The Code of. the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, and those .portions of Ordinances which created same.
