I have been given permission from my brother Nathan(the land owner),to do necessary renovations to
his house while I'm renting it from him. Existing roof on the house is a 3-tab 25yr.shingle roof that is
8yrs old. Existing roof is still in good condition but I'd like the put a steel roof over top of the existing for
aesthetic and preventative reasons. House is 24'x24'and roof pitch is 8/12. My plan is to dry-in the
existing roof with 301b. UL felt,and install 1"x4" purlins on 2'centers. Lastly I'll install a 26 gauge
Masterrib steel rib panel roof with drip edge. I have a signed notarized letter with permission from my
brother to do the renovation.
