Here are a few things to keep in mind about your project: ✓INSTALLATION DATE. After confirmation of final approval from the insurance company,our installation department will be contacting you by the following Friday to schedule the date for installation. Installations are scheduled based on material availability,availability of our crews or subcontractors,and most importantly prevailing weather conditions. This start date supersedes any previously promised start date. ✓DELIVERY OF THE ROOFING MATERIALS AND DUMPSTER. Company will have the roofing materials delivered to your home and will place a dumpster in close proximity to the home in order to dispose of the existing roof. Dumpsters are to be placed on hard surfaces only. PLEASE NOTE:If you need access to your vehicle and/or garage, you may want to park on the street(the night before)to escape the risk of being"blocked"in. ✓ARRIVAL OF THE INSTALLATION CREW. The installation crew typically arrives between 8 AM and 10 AM. At this time,there will be vehicles parked on the street and in the driveway to unload the necessary equipment. Feel free to let your neighbors know about your project and invite them to observe our work. ✓ANTENNAS AND SATELLITE DISHES. We will need to remove antennas and satellite dishes prior to the roofing installation. Most rooftop antennas are no longer used but will be reinstalled upon request. We will automatically reinstall satellite dishes and do our best to reposition them but cannot guarantee quality of signal. Contact your satellite provider for professional realignment. ✓DEBRIS. It is not uncommon for debris to fall into flower beds,shrubs and bushes. Our installers will use tarps to cover these areas and make every effort to avoid unnecessary damage. Please remove outdoor hanging items such as plants,wind chimes,pictures,etc. Pottery and yard decorations should be removed as well. If you have delicate plants,please point these out so necessary precautions can be made. ✓NOISE. As with any exterior home project,you can expect to have noise inside and outside of the house. If you have children or pets that are sensitive to loud sounds you may want to make arrangements for them to be away for the project. Also,we recommend you secure any breakable items such as mirrors,picture frames or vases that could shift inside your home due to the vibrations caused by the rooftop work. ✓FINAL CLEAN-UP&INSPECTION. As the project comes to a close you will notice the crew will go into final clean-up. They will pick up any remaining loose roofing debris and use large magnets to pick up any nails in the yard. It is our fullest intention to leave your property as clean and safe as possible. Your Company Agent will do a final inspection of the property and will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding your new roof. General Specifications 1.The provisions hereof constitute the entire agreement between the parties.Any changes,alterations,waivers,or modifications with respect either as to the job performed or the terms,or any other such matter set forth herein must be in writing and duly accepted and signed by both parties.These General Specifications shall apply to this and any future orders or agreements for the processing of any changes in the scope of this Installation Detail.Any representation,statements or other communications not written in this contract are agreed to be immaterial,and not relied on by either party,and do not survive the execution of this contract. 2.Summitwood Works LLC LLC..(Company)will remove existing roof system,inspect wood decking for possible defects and replace any rotten/damaged decking boards. S.If the Customer chooses not to pay for apart of the scope of the Insurance Estimate the individual line item,or a trade's replacement cost value,as shown on the insurance estimate,will be subtracted from the total replacement cost value of the claim,and the Customer releases the Company of its obligations for the performance of that component with regard to the integrity of the building system as a whole. 6.Company has the right to order excess material.All excess materials belong to Company. All material is guaranteed as specified.All work will be completed in a workman-like manner according to standard practices.All agreements contingent upon strikes,accidents,weather or delays beyond our control.The company warrants installed roofing systems to be free from leaks for the duration specified. The company assumes liability for repair of any installation workmanship defects causing leakage.I agree to hold the company harmless for any interior or exterior damage,to include environmental damage including"mold"resulting from water leakage.The company shall have no liability beyond repair of said roof.All materials used are subject only to warranties provided by the manufacturers and/or suppliers, if any.If the company is not paid in full in accordance with this agreement,all warranties are null and void. 7.It is Customer's responsibility to notify the company within forty-eight(48)hours of the leak.Customer agrees to take responsibility for reasonable and immediate action to avoid any further damage. Leaks may occur in areas other than the roof,such as,but not limited to,the chimney cap,flashings,brick,mortar,stucco,windows,siding and HVAC pipes.The company is not responsible for the repair of these Items.The company will send a representative to inspect and investigate any reported leak.More than one inspection maybe necessary to isolate the cause.I agree to provide acceptable times and dates for such visits and house access. 8.All quotations,orders,or modifications thereof,are contingent upon and subject to any occurrences beyond Company control,including but not limited to,strikes or boycotts,accidents,theft,fires, shortage of materials,or equipment,war,casualty,or acts of God,and Company shall not be liable for failure to perform upon any agreement for such causes. 9.Customer's telephone,electricity and water will be made available to the company during the course of the services. 10.Customer is responsible for contacting their satellite provider for proper re-alignment of dish if necessary,and gaining approval of shingle type and color from their HOA if applicable. 11.Extensive vibration is a normal part of a roof replacement.I assume responsibility for objects hung from the exterior and interior walls and from ceilings and soffits.The company cannot be responsible for these items,as they have been known to fall during installation.Such vibration may cause cracking,nail pops and other damage.The company assumes no responsibility for these items. 12.Replacing the existing flashing is sometimes an element of a proper roof Installation,the siding adjacent to this flashing that has aged over time may crack,break ortear.The Company will make every reasonable effort to avoid damage,but will not be held responsible for any siding damage.Additional charges may apply to repair or replace siding. 13.The company shall not be responsible for protection of my property,except to provide that protection which is specifically called for under the specifications provided by this Agreement.I also agree to remove,store and/or protect personal property during the company's services.I will manage and be responsible for protection of vehicles and property exposed to damage by the company's work.This includes securing all pets and releasing Company of liability for any personal injury that could occur during or after installation is complete. 14.Company will not be responsible for slight scratching and denting of gutters,oil droplets in driveways,hairline fractures in concrete,flowers,minor broken branches on plants and shrubbery,damage to driveway/curb caused by trailers or dumpsters,any damage below the roof,due to leaks by excessive winds beyond manufactures warranty,ice dams,hail,pre-existing or future construction defects caused by storms or lack of maintenance during the period of the warranty. 15.The company accepts no liability to indemnify or hold Customer harmless for claims and/or damages to persons or property,except to the extent that such damages occur during performance of the company's work and are direct result of the company's error or omission.Notwithstanding the foregoing,the company shall not be responsible for damages for any area of the Property upon which the company's work has not been completed.Customer understands and agrees that the company shall have no responsibility for damages of any kind to persons or property occurring afterjob completion. 16.Customer agrees to hold the company harmless in connection with the work described herein,and that my maximum recourse shall be,and the company's maximum liability shall be limited to,the amount the company billed to me.Customer understands and acknowledges that the company does not warrant or guarantee previous workmanship or pre-existing materials,nor any materials or labor not originally provided by the company.The company shall not be responsible for latent defects in materials and accessories supplied.The company shall not be responsible for rework required as a result of the acts or errors of others.If it is determined within the scope of the project that additional work is required,the company will notify me of the work needed to be performed before the work can be completed. 17. Payment is due in advance to an authorized agent,except when other arrangements have been made.If any payment is due it shall be paid upon completion of each individual trade.
