• Airport Manager, Nathan Coleman noted that projects within 10 nautical miles of the airport
are required to fill out a form through FAA. He stated he did not foresee any issues with what
is being proposed.

2. File No. 13-18-SPR: Plans-subm_itted-bv Heyl-Truck-Lines, Inc.-for=ari _SF--800 addition to the existing
building at,403"free Fall Avenue(PID No. 18-2:6-22=0010=02100-0000), zoned LI.
Heyl Truck Lines, Inc. currently uses the building on Free Fall Avenue for vehicle maintenance.The
applicants are proposing a 20'x 44'addition to existing building on site.James Truex addressed the
SPRC regarding the proposed project.
Discussion:
• The addition will be built over the existing parking lot. Impervious to pervious area ratios will
not be affected.SWFWMD permits are not required.
• The addition will match the fagade of the existing structure.
• Airport Manager, Nathan Coleman stated that the applicants will have to file a form with the
FAA. For the Free Fall Avenue site, projects at 25' in height are flagged for obstruction review
by the FAA.The proposed building will be 20' in height. Staff will reduce the height to 20' and
see if it is still flagged.

3. File No.14-18-SPR: Plans submitted by John Cooley for a proposed 1 story, 3,577 SF metal building
at 39309 Air Park Road (PID No. 13-26-21-0010-00000-0030),zoned LI.
The facility at Air Park Road is currently used for injection molding. The first phase of the site was
completed in 1999 and a second phase intended in 2003 but was never completed. Eleanor Cooley
and Bill Harland addressed the SPRC concerning the project.
Discussion:
• SWFWMD permits need to be updated as there is typically a sunset on permitting.
• Plans provided are from 2003. Staff stated they will accept as long as they meet current
requirements.
• The height of the building will be 17'. City staff to amend FAA Form, reducing height to 17'. If
the FAA still flags the project, City Manager, Steve Spina stated that the applicants'will be
required to provide the required information to the FAA.
• Current building openings will be retained and a 9'setback is proposed between buildings.The
Building Official clarified that no openings will be located between buildings to meet fire
separation standards.
• Handicapped parking is required closest to the main entrance. Applicants need to adjust the
current location of the parking.
• The Building Official made note that additional impact fees(water,sewer,fire,transportation,
etc.) will be required prior to permitting. Building permits are currently have a two to three
week approval process.
