RESOLUTION NO. 763-19
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF SEVEN HUNDRED AND FORTY
THOUSAND DOLLARS (S740,000_00) OF CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS FUNDING AS GAP
FUNDING FOR THE SMALL CITIES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT APPLICATION IN THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CATEGORY THE
CITY IS SUBMITTING TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC
OPPORTUNITY FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2018_
WHEREAS,the City of Zephyrhills (the "City") desires to show evidence of its commitment to
. provide a specific amount of gap funding to be used in carrying out the Small Cities Economic
Development Community Development Block Grant Application.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS,FLORIDA:
1_ That the City hereby commits to providing seven hundred and forty thousand dollars
($740,000.00) of gap funding as needed for a Community Development Block Grant application
in the Economic Development category being submitted for the FF-Y-2018 Application cycle; and
2_ That all of-the gap funding needed shall come from the City's General Fund for the construction
line item activity.
3_ That the City understands these funds will be expended, following approval of the Community
Development Block Grant,after the Department of Economic Opportunity site visit for the project,
but prior to the City submitting the administrative closeout for the project to the Florida
Department of Economic Opportunity_
4_ This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption_
