The support system is intended to stabilize and potentially lift the existing floor structure—reducing deflections in the floor and reducing pressure on existing soils.The original design instructed the contractor to install footings,SmartJacks, supplemental support girders and all related components per the support manufacturer's installation instructions and according to their technical specifications, as well as industry standards. See page 2 for the details of the crawl space support system. See page 3 for the field logs provided by the contractor. See page 4 for a layout of the floor supports as identified by contractor on the field log. The installation of the supports was supervised; and the contractor has supplied engineer a log of the installed locations of the SmartJacks and measured lift. Upon review,the installed support jacks conform to the original design and plans.
