Challenge
1. DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS. CONTRACTOR SHALL R:::.Y ON WRITTEN DIMENSIONS AS GIVEN. DIMENSIONS SHOWN ARE TO CENTER OF STUD, FINISH FACE OF MASONRY/CONCRETE OR GRID LINES, UNLESS
NOTED OTHERWISE. ALL DIMENSIONS SHALL BE FIELD 'VERIFIED BY THE CONTRACTOR AND COORDINATED WITH ALL OF THE WORK OF ALL TRADES. IF DISCREPANCIES ARE FOUND, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT IN WRITING FOR CLARIFICATICJ BEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT OR RESUMPTION OF WORK.
2. ABBREVIATIONS THROUGHOUT THE PLANS ARE THOSE IN COMMON USE. NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT OF ANY ABBREVIATIONS IN QUESTION.
3. CONSULTANT DRAWINGS ARE SUPPLEMENTAL TO THE ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO COORDINATE WITH THE ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS BEFORE THE
INSTALLATION OF ANY OF THE CONSULTANT'S WORK AND TO BRING ANY DISCREPANCIES OR CONFLICTS TO THE ARCHITECTS ATTENTION IN WRITING, FOR CLARIFICATION.
4. THE CONTRACTOR AND SUBCONTRACTORS SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS. ANY FEES ASSOCIATED WITH, BUT NOT NORMALLY COVERED BY THESE ITEMS, WILL. BE THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL MATERIALS, LABOR, EQUIPMENT, TRANSPORTATION AND SERVICES NECESSARY FOR THE SATISFACTORY COMPLETION OF WORK UNLESS DESIGNATED AS "NOT IN
CONTRACT" (N.1.C.) OR "OWNER FURNISHED, OWNER INSTALLED" (O.F.O.I). ALL EQUIPMENT, WORK AND MATERIALS SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL CURRENT AND LOCAL APPLICABLE CODES AND GOVERNING
REGULATIONS, AND THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT ALL FINISH WORK AND SURFACES FROM DAMAGE DURING THE COURSE OF CONSTRUCTION AND SHALL REPLACE AND/OR REPAIR ALL DAMAGED SURFACES CAUSED BY
CONTRACTOR OR SUBCONTRACTOR PERSONNEL TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE OWNER AND ARCHITECT.
7. UNLESS IT IS SPECIFIED, ACCESS PANELS SHALL BE PROVIDED AND INSTALLED WHEREVER REQUIRED BY BUILDING CODE OR FOR THE PROPER OPERATION OR MAINTENANCE OF MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL
EQUIPMENT. WHETHER OR NOT INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE SIZE, LOCATION, AND TYPE OF ACCESS PANEL WITH OTHER CONTRACTORS' WORK. NO ACCESS PANEL
SHALL BE LOCATED, FRAMED OR INSTALLED WITHOUT THE EXPRESSED APPROVAL OF THE ARCHITECT.
8. ANY WORK IMPROPERLY INSTALLED OR INSTALLED IN CONFLICT WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS SHALL BE CORRECTED BY THE CONTRACTOR AT HIS EXPENSE AND AT NO ADDITIONAL EXPENSE TO THE
OWNER, ARCHITECT, OR CONSULTANTS.
9. THE SIZE, TYPE, SHAPE AND LOCATION OF MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, FIXTURES, EQUIPMENT PADS AND BASES CONTAINED WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE ONLY, UNLESS
SPECIFICALLY NOTED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY DIMENSIONS WITH OTHER TRADES AND/OR THE EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER.
10. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INITIATING, MAINTAINING AND SUPERVISING A REASONABLE AND PRUDENT SAFETY PROGRAM FOR ALL THOSE TRADES PERFORMING WORK ON THE PREMISES. THIS
SHOULD INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE ISOLATION OF WORK AREAS AND THE PROMPT REMOVAL OF ANY DEBRIS OR TOOLS WHICH MIGHT ENDANGER VISITORS AND STAFF OF THE OWNER OR ARCHITECT.
11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF ANY AND ALL UTILITY COMPANIES TO VERIFY AVAILABLE FACILITIES AND, IF APPLICABLE, TO ESTABLISH TEMPORARY FACILITIES.
ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE THE REMOVAL, ABANDONMENT, AND/OR RELOCATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES BOTH ABOVE AND BELOW GRADE WITH THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANIES.
12. SUBSTITUTIONS: REFERENCE TO MAKERS, BRAND, MODELS, ETC., IS TO ESTABLISH THE TYPE AND QUALITY DESIRED; SUBSTITUTION OF ACCEPTABLE EQUIVALENTS WILL BE PERMITTED IF APPROVED BY THE
ARCHITECT AND OWNER PRIOR TO BID (UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE).
13. ONLY NEW MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OF RECENT MANUFACTURE, OF QUALITY SPECIFIED, FREE FROM DEFECTS, WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE WORK.
14. SHOP DRAWINGS: SHOP DRAWINGS SHALL BE SUBMITTED FOR ALL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS WHICH MUST INTERFACE AND COORDINATE WITH OTHERS, WHETHER DETAILED OR NOT.
15. FINAL CLEAN UP AND DISPOSAL: THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REMOVAL OF CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, RUBBISH AND WASTE MATERIAL FROM THE OWNER'S PROPERTY TO A LAWFUL
DISPOSAL AREA AND PAY ALL HAULING AND DUMPING COSTS. SECONDLY, THE CONTRACTOR WILL OBSERVE ALL TO PERTAINATE FEDERAL STATE AND LOCAL LAWS, REGULATIONS AND ORDERS REGARDING
COMPLETION OF WORK CLEAN-UP. FINALLY, ALL CONSTRUCTION AREAS SHALL BE LEFT VACUUM -CLEAN AND FREE FROM DEBRIS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: CLEAN ALL DUST, DIRT, STAINS, HAND MARKS,
PAINT SPOTS, DRIPPINGS, AND OTHER BLEMISHES.

APPLIED PESTICIDES, BAITING SYSTEMS, AND PESTICIDES APPLIED TO WOOD, OR OTHER APPROVED
METHODS OF TERMITE PROTECTION LABELED FOR USE AS A PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT TO NEW
CONSTRUCTION (SEE SECTION 202, REGISTERED TERMITICIDE). UPON COMPLETION OF THE APPLICATION
OF THE TERMITE PROTECTIVE TREATMENT, A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE SHALL BE ISSUED TO THE
BUILDING DEPARTMENT BY THE LICENSED PEST CONTROL COMPANY THAT CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING

R320.4 CONCRETE BEARING LEDGE.
BRICK, STONE OR OTHER VENEER SHALL BE SUPPORTED BY A CONCRETE BEARING LEDGE OF SUCH
THICKNESS AS REQUIRED IN CHAPTER 14, WHICH IS POURED INTEGRALLY WITH THE CONCRETE
FOUNDATION. NO SUPPLEMENTAL CONCRETE FOUNDATION POURS WHICH WILL CREATE A HIDDEN COLD
JOINT SHALL BE USED WITHOUT SUPPLEMENTAL TREATMENT IN THE FOUNDATION UNLESS THERE IS AN

SECTION R320.1 SHALL BEAR THE QUALITY MARK OF AN APPROVED INSPECTION AGENCY WHICH
MAINTAINS CONTINUING SUPERVISION, TESTING AND INSPECTION OVER THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT

GENERAL NOTES
1. This product has been evaluated and is in compliance with the 2007 Florida Building Code (FBC)
structural requirements excluding the "High Velocity Hurricane Zone" (HVHZ).
2. Product anchors shall be as listed and spaced as shown on details. Anchor embedment to base
material shall be beyond wall dressing or stucco.
3. When used in areas outside of the "HVHT'requiring wind borne debris protection this product
complies with Section 1609.1.2 of the 2007 FBC and does not require an impact resistant covering.
This product meets missile level "D" and includes Wind Zone 4 as defined in ASTM E1996.
4. For 2x stud framing construction, anchoring of these units shall be the same as that shown for 2x
buck masonry construction.
5. Site conditions that deviate from the details of this drawing require further engineering analysis by a
licensed engineer or registered architect.

SCOPE:
This NOA is being issued under the applicable rules and regulations governing the use of construction materials. .
The documentation submitted has been reviewed by the BCCO and accepted by the Building Code and Product
Review Committee to be used in Miami Dade County and other areas where allowed by the Authority Having
Jurisdiction (AHJ).
This NOA shall not be valid after the expiration date stated below. The BCCO (In Miami Dade County) and/or the
AHJ (in areas other than Miami Dade County) reserve the right to have this product or material tested for quality
assurance purposes. If this product or material fails to perform in the accepted manner, the manufacturer will incur
the expense of such testing and the AHJ may immediately revoke, modify, or suspend the use of such product or
material within their jurisdiction. BCCO reserves the right to revoke this acceptance, if it is determined by BCCO
that this product or material fails to meet the requirements of the applicahle huildim, code.
This product is approved as described herein, and has been designed to comply with the Florida Building Code,
including the Hilgh Velocity Hurricane Zone.
DESCRIPTION: Timberline 30
RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has been no
change in the applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product.
TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there has been a revision or change in the
materials, use, and/or manufacture of the product or process. Misuse of this NOA as an endorsement of any
product, for sales, advertising or any other purposes shall automatically terminate this NOA. Failure to comply
with any section of this NOA shall be cause for termination and removal of NOA.
ADVERTISEMENT: The NOA number preceded by the words Miami -Dade County, Florida, and followed by
the expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. If any portion of the NOA is displayed, then it shall
be done in its entirety.
INSPECTION: A copy of this entire NOA shall be provided to the user by the manufacturer or its distributors
and shall be available for inspection at the job site at the request of the Building Official.
This NOA renews and revises NOA #05-1115.09 and consists of pages 1 through 4.

4. LIMITATIONS
4.1 Fire classification is not part of this acceptance; refer to a current Approved Roofing Materials
Directory for fire ratings of this product.
4.2 Shall not be installed on roof mean heights in excess of 33 ft.
4.3 All products listed herein shall have a quality assurance audit in accordance with the Florida
Building Code and Rule 913-72 of the Florida Administrative Code.
5. INSTALLATION
5.1 Shingles shall be installed in compliance with Roofing Application Standard RAS 115.
5.2 Flashing shall be in accordance with Roofing Application Standard RAS 115
5.3 The manufacturer shall provide clearly written application instructions.
5.4 Exposure and course layout shall be in compliance with Detail 'A', attached.
5.5 Nailing shall be in compliance with Detail 'B', attached.
6. LABELING
6.1 Shingles shall be labeled with the Miami -Dade Logo or the wording "Miami -Dade County
Product Control Approved".
7. BUILDING PERMIT REQUIREMENTS
