1 ALL DEMOLITION WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED WITH "DUE CARE & DILIGENCE" SO
AS TO PREVENT THE ARBITRARY DESTRUCTION OR INTERRUPTION OF
CONCEALED UTILITIES WHICH ARE INTENDED TO REMAIN IN USE AND THE
ROUTING OF WHICH COULD NOT BE PREDETERMINED UNTIL DEMOLITION WAS
STARTED. ALL SUCH DISCOVERIES OF UTILITIES DURING THE DEMOLITION
PROCESS WHICH ARE IN A LOCATION DIFFERENT FROM THAT INDICATED, CHANGE
DIRECTION FROM FLOOR TO FLOOR, ETC., OR ARE UNIDENTIFIED, SHALL BE
REPORTED TO THE ARCHITECT BEFORE REMOVAL.
2. OCCUPANTS AND PEDESTRIANS SHALL BE PROTECTED DURING CONSTRUCTION
AND DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES PER CHAPTER 33 SAFEGUARDS DURING
CONSTRUCTION IN THE IBC. REQUIRED EXITS, EXISTING STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS,
FIRE PROTECTION DEVICES AND SANITARY SAFEGUARDS SHALL BE MAINTAINED
AT ALL TIMES DURING ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS, AND ADDITIONS. WHERE SUCH
REQUIRED ELEMENTS OR DEVICES ARE BEING ALTERED OR REPAIRED, ADEQUATE
SUBSTITUTE PROVISIONS SHALL BE MADE BY THE CONTRACTOR.
3. REMOVE ALL EXISTING CONSTRUCTION THAT WILL BE NECESSARY TO BE
REMOVED TO ACCOMPLISH THE NEW WORK INDICATED. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL
OF ANY WALLS CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY WITH ARCHITECT/STRUCTURAL
ENGINEER IF ANY WALLS ARE STRUCTURAL SUPPORTING. IF WALLS ARE
STRUCTURAL SUPPORTING WALLS, CONTRACTOR TO RECEIVE FROM ARCHITECT
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER PROCEDURES TO SHORE AND BRACE ANY REQUIRED
STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS AND RECEIVE DETAILS FOR FINISHED CONDITION.
4. REMOVE EXISTING MILLWORK AS INDICATED. FLOOR SURFACE SHALL BE PATCHED
FLUSH TO MATCH ADJACENT SURFACES OR TO RECEIVE NEW FINISHES.
5. WHERE INDICATED, REMOVE EXISTING DOOR AND FRAME AND SEAL OPENING
WITH WALL CONSTRUCTION TO MATCH ADJACENT FINISHES UNLESS NOTED
OTHERWISE. FINISH WALL TO MATCH ADJACENT FINISH OR TO RECEIVE NEW
FINISH AS SCHEDULED.
6. ALL STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS SHALL BE MAINTAINED AND SHALL BE OF SUFFICIENT
STRENGTH TO SUPPORT THE DESIGN LOADS AND TO RESIST THE DEFORMATION
CAUSED BY SUCH LOADS TO WHICH THE SOIL PRESSURE INCLUDING SURCHARGE,
HYDROSTATIC HEAD, AND IMPACT LOADS AS APPLICABLE.
7. PATCH ALL FINISHES TO MATCH EXISTING, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO,
GYPSUM BOARD, PLASTER, ACOUSTIC SYSTEMS, WOOD TRIM, BASE, PANELS,
RAILS, AND WAINSCOT, ETC. VERIFY MATCH OF NEW FINISH MATERIALS TO
EXISTING COLOR, TEXTURE, THICKNESS, CUT, ETC. TO SATISFACTION OF THE
OWNER PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. PROVIDE OTHER MATERIALS TO MATCH
EXISTING WHEN REQUIRED TO BE APPROVED BY THE OWNER.
8. WHERE APPLICABLE LEVEL ALL EXISTING FLOORS AS REQUIRED TO RECEIVE NEW
FLOOR FINISHES. INSTALL REQUIRED TRANSITION PIECES BETWEEN VARIOUS
FLOOR FINISHES AS DETAILED ON THE DRAWINGS. MATCH EXISTING WHERE
POSSIBLE.
GENERAL ALTERATION NOTES:
1 ALL EXISTING SUBSTRATES AND FINISHES DISTURBED OR INTERRUPTED BY THE
WORK SHALL BE REPLACED OR"FILLED IN"TO ACHIEVE UNIFORM COLOR,
TEXTURE, PATTERN, AND APPEARANCE TO MATCHING ADJACENT SUBSTRATES
AND FINISHES. TRANSITION BETWEEN EXISTING TO EXISTING AND NEW TO
EXISTING SUBSTRATES AND FINISHES SHALL BE ACHIEVED IN STRAIGHT
HORIZONTAL AND/OR VERTICAL LINES BETWEEN DIFFERENT AND/OR NEW
SUBSTRATES AND FINISHES.
2. PATCH, REPAIR, OR REPLACE ALL EXISTING FINISHES AND SUBSTRATES
DISTURBED DURING CONSTRUCTION OR AS A RESULT OF DEMOLITION OR
REMOVAL OF AN ITEM. ALL REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT SHALL MATCH ADJACENT
EXISTING AND/OR NEW SUBSTRATES, PATTERNS, AND FINISHES. SEE ROOM FINISH
SCHEDULE AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR NEW FINISHES.
3. PREPARE EXISTING REMAINING WORK SUBSTRATES TO RECEIVE NEW FINISHES
AS INDICATED ON THE ROOM FINISH SCHEDULE AND IN SPECIFICATIONS.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION SHALL BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE INSTALLATION
REQUIREMENTS OF EACH NEW FINISH.
4. AT THE DEMOLITION OF AN EXISTING ITEM, REMOVE ALL TRACES OF THE
DEMOLISHED ITEMS/COMPONENTS FROM THE SURFACE OF THE REMAINING
FLOOR, WALLS, CEILING, AND ROOF. AT THE REMOVED FASTENERS IN ALL
EXISTING MASONRY WALLS AND FLOORS, PATCH HOLE WITH GROUT LEVEL WITH
EXISTING ADJACENT SUBSTRATES IN ORDER TO RECEIVE NEW FINISHES.
5. AT EXISTING FLOORS: WHERE WALLS ARE SCHEDULED FOR DEMOLITION AND
EXTEND TO BELOW THE CONTINUOUS FLOOR LINE, THE WALL SHALL BE
DEMOLISHED TO BELOW THE FLOOR THICKNESS. PATCH JOINTS SHALL NOT
TELEGRAPH THROUGH THE NEW FINISH.
6. AT WALL SURFACES TO BE PAINTED, WHERE PATCHING OCCURS IN THE WORK OF
AN EXISTING PAINTED SURFACE, THE PATCHED AREA SHALL BE SPACKLED,
FILLED, PRIMED, AND INTERMEDIATE PAINT COATS APPLIED PRIOR TO
APPLICATION OF FINAL FINISH PAINT COATS. APPLY FINAL FINISH PAINT COATS
OVER THE ENTIRE WALL SURFACE CONTAINING THE PATCH. WHERE PAINTING IS
LIMITED TO PATCH, THE WORK AREA SHALL INCLUDE THE SURFACE FROM THE
JOINT AT THE WALUFLOOR INTERSECTION TO THE JOINT AT THE WALUSEALING
INTERSECTION. IT SHALL EXTEND HORIZONTALLY FROM LEFT SIDE OF THE PATCH
TO RIGHT SIDE OF THE PATCH AND SHALL INCLUDE THE ENTIRE PATCH. PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL SPACKLING AND PAINT COATS UNTIL THE PATCH AREA IS BLEND
COMPLETELY WITH THE EXISTING ADJACENT WALL SURFACE. PATCHES AT
CEILINGS SHALL BE TREATED IN SAME FASHION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.
7. AT ALL CERAMIC TILE AREAS TO BE PATCHED/REPAIRED THE FOLLOWING WORK
SHALL OCCUR AT DEMOLISHED ITEMS AND DAMAGED AREAS, FILL ALL HOLES IN
EXISTING CERAMIC WALL AND FLOOR TILE THAT ARE UP TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER
WITH A COLOR EPDXY GROUT TO MATCH THE EXISTING CERAMIC TILE COLOR.
REMOVE AND REPLACE EXISTING ADJACENT AROUND AREAS WHERE HOLES
EXCEED ONE INCH IN DIAMETER. REPLACE WITH NEW TILES THAT MATCH AS
CLOSELY AS POSSIBLE TO EXISTING TILES. MATCH PATTERN, SIZE, SHAPE, COLOR,
TEXTURE, AND COMPOSITION. FINAL SELECTION OF TILE TO BE INSTALLED SHALL
BE THE BY THE ARCHITECT AND OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE.
8. FOLLOWING ANY DEMOLITION AND/OR REMOVAL, PATCH AND REPAIR ALL
EXISTING DISTURBED SUBSTRATES AND FINISHES TO MATCH EXISTING
SUBSTRATES AND FINISHES OR PREPARE EXISTING ADJACENT CONSTRUCTION TO
ACCOMMODATE NEW CONSTRUCTION AND SCHEDULE FINISHES.

GENERAL NOTES:
1 VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK. BRING ANY DISCREPANCIES FROM
THE DRAWING AND NOTES TO THE ARCHITECT IMMEDIATELY. MINOR CHANGES IN THE SCOPE OF
THE DEMOLITION WORK SHALL NOT JUSTIFY AN ADDITIONAL COST.
2. REMOVAL OF EXISTING FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT WILL REQUIRE ISOLATING THE PIPING RISERS
OR MAINS VIA SHUT-OFF VALVES. INSTALL NEW ISOLATION VALVES WERE REQUIRED FOR
COMPLETION OF WORK.
3. REMOVAL OF EXISTING PLUMBING FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT, ETC. WILL REQUIRE CAPPING AND
SEALING EXISTING MAINS OR BRANCHES AS NECESSARY AND REQUIRED TO ALLOW THE
REMAINING SYSTEMS TO FULLY OPERATE WITHOUT DEGRADATION. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE
PROTECTIVE PLASTIC DROP CLOTHS TO PROTECT THE EXISTING OCCUPIED AREAS AND
EQUIPMENT FROM DUST AND DEBRIS DURING THE CONSTRUCTION WORK AND SHALL CLEAN THE
AREAS OF ALL CONSTRUCTION DIRT DAILY, AND UPON COMPLETION OF THE WORK. REFER TO
GENERAL CONDITIONS AND DIVISION-1 SECTIONS IN THE SPECIFICATIONS.
4. ALL DRAINED PIPING RISERS AND MAINS SHALL BE REFILLED WITH PROPER FLUID AND PROPERLY
VENTED BY THIS CONTRACTOR ONCE NEW WORK HAS BEEN INSTALLED.
5. COORDINATE WITH GENERAL CONTRACTOR THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF ALL EXISTING
CEILINGS, WALLS ETC. AS REQUIRED FOR MECHANICAL DEMOLITION WORK.
6. EXISTING PIPING AND EQUIPMENT, ETC. NOT TO BE UTILIZED IN THE COMPLETED BUILDING SHALL
BE DISCONTINUED OR REMOVED AS REQUIRED. ALL ENDS OF DISCONTINUED PIPING SHALL BE
CAPPED IN THE NEAREST WALL, CEILING, OR FLOOR SO THAT THEY ARE COMPLETELY
CONCEALED. OPENINGS LEFT IN WALLS, CEILINGS, ETC. WHERE EQUIPMENT AND PIPE ETC. ARE
REMOVED AND NOT REPLACED, SHALL BE PATCHED NEATLY WITH THE SIMILAR MATERIAL TO
ADJACENT CONSTRUCTION.
7. EXISTING PIPING, FIXTURES, AND EQUIPMENT THAT ARE NOT TO BE REUSED SHALL BE REMOVED
AND SHALL REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF THE OWNER IF THEY WISH TO RETAIN OWNERSHIP OF
SAME. IF NOT, EQUIPMENT SHALL BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THIS CONTRACTOR AND SHALL BE
REMOVED FROM THE SITE AS SOON AS PRACTICAL AND DISPOSED OF AN ACCORDANCE WITH
APPLICABLE LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
8. ALL CUTTING AND CHANNELING OF EXISTING BUILDING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN A NEAT AND
WORKMAN -LIKE MANNER WITHOUT REMOVAL OF EXCESS MATERIALS. THIS CONTRACTOR SHALL
PATCH AND REPLACE WITH MATERIAL SIMILAR TO ADJACENT CONSTRUCTION.
9. WHERE EXISTING PIPING AND EQUIPMENT, ETC. THAT ARE TO BE UTILIZED IN THE COMPLETED
PROGRAM CONFLICT WITH NEW CONSTRUCTION AND THE REQUIRED DEMOLITION, THEY SHALL BE
RELOCATED AND RECONNECTED TO MAINTAIN THE DESIRED SERVICE.
10. PORTIONS OF EXISTING SYSTEMS MAY BE SHOWN FOR CLARITY EVEN THOUGH IT MAY NOT BE
NECESSARY TO MODIFY OR REVISE THEM. ALL EXISTING SYSTEMS ARE SHOWN BASED ON
ORIGINAL OR REMODEL BUILDING DRAWINGS. CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY ALL EXISTING
CONDITIONS.
ii. ALL WORK MUST BE COORDINATED AND SCHEDULED WITH THE OWNER AND OCCUPANTS OF THIS
BUILDING SO AS TO PROVIDE THE LEAST AMOUNT OF DISRUPTION OF BUILDING ACTIVITIES AS
POSSIBLE.
12. ALL ACCESSIBLE ABANDONED PIPING AND DUCTWORK SHALL BE REMOVED AND PROPERLY
DISPOSED OF.
13. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY EXISTING SITE AND BUILDING CONDITIONS AND DIMENSIONS IN THE
FIELD PRIOR TO DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES AND WORK.
14. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY ARCHITECT AND OWNER OF ANY POSSIBLE ASBESTOS OR LEAD -
CONTAINING MATERIALS DISCOVERED BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH WORK.
15. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT SCALE DRAWINGS.
16. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY TEMPORARY SHORING, TEMPORARY BRACING,
AND/OR TEMPORARY SUPPORTS AS REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF EXISTING
STRUCTURE TO REMAIN AND/OR EXISTING BUILDING ELEMENTS TO REMAIN.
17. CONTRACTORS TO VERIFY THE EXACT LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES PRIOR TO
DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES AND WORK.
18. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE TRASH AND DEBRIS REGULARLY AS NECESSARY TO ELIMINATE
INTERFERENCE WITH ROADS, STREET, WALKS, AND ALL OTHER ADJACENT FACILITIES.
19. CONTRACTOR SHELL REPAIR, REPLACE, OR PATCH EXISTING BUILDINGS, DRIVEWAYS, SIDEWALKS,
CANOPIES, AND/OR PARKING AREAS DAMAGED, MODIFIED, AND/OR DISTURBED BY DEMOLITION
WORK AT NO COST TO THE OWNER.
20. ALL EXISTING EQUIPMENT THAT REMAINS SHALL BE PROTECTED DURING DEMOLITION AND/OR
CONSTRUCTION TO PREVENT DAMAGE. ANY DAMAGE TO REMAINING EXISTING EQUIPMENT
SUSTAINED DURING DEMOLITION AND/OR CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE EQUIVALENTLY REPLACED OR
EQUIVALENTLY REPAIRED AT NO COST TO THE OWNER.
21. DO NOT INTERRUPT EXISTING UTILITIES, EXCEPT WHEN AUTHORIZED IN WRITING BY AUTHORITIES
HAVING JURISDICTION.
22. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT ALL UTILITY COMPANIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE
FOLLOWING: ELECTRIC, GAS, WATER, TELEPHONE, STORM SEWER, AND SANITARY SEWER FOR
FIELD LOCATION OF ALL UNDERGROUND AND OVERHEAD UTILITY LINES. PRIOR TO
COMMENCEMENT OF ANY DEMOLITION WORK, CONTRACTOR SHALL IDENTIFY ALL ELECTRICAL

THOSE CIRCUITS WHICH ARE IDENTIFIED TO SERVICE BOTH THE AREA TO BE DEMOLISHED AND
THE REMAINING BUILDING SHALL BE SPLIT SO AS TO KILL ALL ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AREA
TO BE DEMOLISHED WHILE MAINTAINING POWER TO THE REMAINDER OF THE BUILDING.
23. ALL FURNITURE WILL BE REMOVED OR RELOCATED BY THE OWNER AS NECESSARY PRIOR TO THE
DEMOLITION WORK OF THIS PROJECT. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE OWNER AS
REQUIRED.
24. REMOVE EXISTING CONSTRUCTION TO THE EXTENT INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS. SHOULD ANY

GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS
1 . THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR REFERRED TO HEREAFTER, AS THE
"CONTRACTOR" SHALL PROVIDE COMPLETE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AS
INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFIED HEREIN.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE PROTECTIVE DEVICES, CONDUCTORS,
SUPPORTS, RACEWAYS, AND MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS TO SERVE
ALL DEVICES REQUIRING ELECTRICAL POWER.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN AND PAY FOR ALL PERMITS, FEES, AND
INSPECTIONS REQUIRED TO COMMENCE AND COMPLETE ELECTRICAL
WORK.
4. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT A THOROUGH SITE INSPECTION TO
FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH EXISTING CONDITIONS AND ALL ASPECTS OF
HIS SCOPE OF WORK. SUCH AN INSPECTION SHALL BE CONDUCTED
PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A BID.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL REFER TO INTERIOR ARCHITECTURAL CASE WORK
ELEVATIONS FOR EXACT MOUNTING HEIGHTS AND/OR LOCATIONS OF
SWITCHES, OUTLETS, AND WIRING DEVICES.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN A COMPLETE TEMPORARY POWER AND
LIGHTING SYSTEM DURING CONSTRUCTION.
7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE, DROP CLOTH, RUBBER MATS AND,
PLYWOOD COVERS FOR OWNERS EQUIPMENT SUSCEPTIBLE TO DAMAGE
DURING CONSTRUCTION. VERIFY SPECIFIC LOCATIONS WITH OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE.
8. ALL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED DURING PERIODS ACCEPTABLE TO
THE OWNER. SCHEDULE ALL WORK WITH THE OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE BEFORE PROCEEDING.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM TEMPORARY WORK NECESSARY TO
MAINTAIN CONTINUITY OF ELECTRICAL SERVICE WHEN CONNECTION IS
MADE TO EXISTING SYSTEMS AND FACILITIES. EXISTING SERVICE SHALL
NOT BE INTERRUPTED WITHOUT PRIOR CONSENT OF THE OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE.
10. AT PROJECT COMPLETION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSURE THAT ALL
ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS OPERATE PROPERLY. CONTRACTOR SHALL
DEMONSTRATE OPERATION OF EACH SYSTEM WITH THE OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE.
11. CONTRACTOR IS TO PROVIDE THE OWNER WITH AS -BUILT DRAWINGS OF
THE SINGLE LINE DIAGRAM OF THE ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
AND FLOOR PLANS INDICATING LOCATIONS OF EQUIPMENT SERVED.
PROVIDE OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE MANUALS FOR EQUIPMENT
REQUIRING MAINTENANCE AND THE CONTACT INFORMATION FOR A
QUALIFIED SERVICE AGENCY.
12. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE AND VERIFY WITH LOCAL POWER
COMPANY THE FOLLOWING:

- ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS (VOLTAGE AND PHASING)

- FBC 2020 7TH EDITION
- NFPA 101 (LIFE SAFETY CODE)

2. ELECTRICAL WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL LOCAL AND STATE
ELECTRICAL CODES AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF THE
AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION (AHJ).
QUALITY
1 . WORKMANSHIP SHALL BE HIGH QUALITY AND FOLLOW INDUSTRY
STANDARDS. SUBSTANDARD WORK WILL BE REJECTED. THE
CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIR AND REWORK TO RECTIFY
SUBSTANDARD WORK. QUALITY OF WORK SHALL BE DETERMINED BY
THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AND/OR ENGINEER OF RECORD.
INTERFERENCES
1 . PLANS ARE GENERALLY DIAGRAMMATIC. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
COORDINATE WITH THE OTHER TRADES SO THAT INTERFERENCES
BETWEEN CONDUITS, PIPING, EQUIPMENT, DUCTS, AND STRUCTURAL
WORK WILL BE AVOIDED. IN SUCH CASE, IF THE CONTRACTOR FAILS TO
COORDINATE WITH OTHER TRADES AND INTERFERENCES ARE ALLOWED
TO DEVELOP, THE OWNER'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE WILL DECIDE
WHICH EQUIPMENT, DUCT, CONDUIT, ETC., MUST BE RELOCATED,
REGARDLESS OF WHICH WAS INSTALLED FIRST. ELECTRICAL REWORK

MATERIALS,
1 . ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS SHALL BE NEW AND
APPROVED BY UNDERWRITERS LABORATORY FOR THE APPLICATION
AND SHALL BEAR A UL LABEL.
2. ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURES SHALL BE NEMA RATED. UNLESS OTHERWISE
NOTED, ENCLOSURE RATINGS SHALL ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING:

GUARANTEE
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL GUARANTEE ALL WORK FOR A PERIOD OF ONE
YEAR FROM DATE OF OWNER'S ACCEPTANCE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
RECTIFY ANY DEFECTS DUE TO FAULTY MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP
AND PAY FOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY FAILURE AND REWORK. THE OWNER
WILL GIVE NOTICE OF DEFECTS WITH REASONABLE PROMPTNESS AFTER
DISCOVERY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL START REWORK WITHIN TEN (10)
WORKING DAYS OF NOTIFICATION AND COMPLETE REPAIRS IN A TIMELY
MANNER.
IDENTIFICATION OF EQUIPMENT
1 . LABEL ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT WITH ENGRAVED LAMINATED
PLASTIC NAMEPLATE THAT CLEARLY DESCRIBES THE EQUIPMENT NAME,
VOLTAGE, AMPERAGE RATING, AND FUNCTION. NAMEPLATES SHALL BE
BLACK BACKGROUND WITH WHITE STENCILED UPPER CASE LETTERING A
MINIMUM OF 3/16" IN HEIGHT. USE RED BACKGROUND FOR EMERGENCY
SYSTEMS.
2. INSTALL VINYL CLOTH SELF-ADHESIVE CIRCUIT LABELS ON ALL WIRE
AND CABLE IN JUNCTION BOXES, WIRE TROUGHS, AND PANELBOARD
WIRING GUTTERS.
3. IDENTIFY JUNCTION BOXES WITH PERMANENT MARKER INDICATING
PANELBOARD AND CIRCUIT NUMBERS OF WIRING CONTAINED WITHIN.
4. PROVIDE TYPEWRITTEN PANELBOARD DIRECTORIES WITH ACCURATE AS
BUILT INFORMATION. DIRECTORIES SHALL REFLECT TYPE OF LOAD AND

SECURE AT ALL JOINTS AND AT ALL BOXES, CABINETS, FITTINGS, AND
EQUIPMENT. METALLIC RACEWAYS SHALL BE CONNECTED TO A DIRECT
GROUND AT POINT OF ELECTRICAL SERVICE ENTRANCE AND SHALL BE
ELECTRICALLY CONTINUOUS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SYSTEM.
3. ALL GROUND CONDUCTORS SHALL BE INSULATED COPPER UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED.
4. RACEWAYS WITH NO. 10 OR 12 AWG PHASE CONDUCTORS FOR
