Contractor shall protect all existing walls, doors, frames, surfaces, fixtures, finishes, etc. from damage during demolition and construction. Existing materials to be removed shall be coordinated with Owner to verify If Owner wishes to salvage some. Relocation of salvaged materials, once removed, to be by the Building Agent/Tenant's forces 7. Contractor shall verify and be responsible for ail dimensions and job site conditions related to this work. Any discrepancy in dimensions or special modifications required due to fled conditions shall be reported to the Architect for c/arlfication 8. The Architect does not have control or charge of, and shall not be held responsible for construction means, methods, techniques, sequence or for safety precautions and programs In connection with work, for the acts or omissions of the contractor, sub -contractors or any other persons performing any of the work, or for the faluure of any of them to carry out the work In accordance with the Documents. 9. VERIFY ALL EXISTING DUCTWORK WHICH PASSES THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE, AND IS TO REMAIN, IS SEALED AND PROTECTED DURING THE CONSTRUCTION DURATION. B. PRESENT THE NEGATIVE AIR PRESSURE PLAN TO THE OWNER FOR APPROVAL BY THE INFECTION CONTROL COMMITTEE. C. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE PORTABLE HEPA FILTRATION UNITS EQUIVALENT TO ABATEMENT TECHNOLOGIES "HEPA-AIRE PORTABLE AIR SCRUBBERS" OF APPROPRIATE SIZE AND QUANTITY TO MAINTAIN THE NEGATIVE AIR PRESSURE AND AIR CHANGE RATES IN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE(S), AS REQUIRED BY THE OWNER'S ICRA. D. AIR REMOVED FROM THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE SHALL BE FILTERED PRIOR TO BEING DISCHARGED, AS DIRECTED BY THE ICRA REPORT, E. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE MEANS TO MONITOR AND VERIFY NEGATIVE PRESSURE IS BEING MAINTAINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ICRA REPORT, AND PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION TO THE OWNER. PROVIDE AND MONITOR NEGATIVE AIR PRESSURE MEASUREMENT DEVICES AND PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION TO THE OWNER, AT ALL ACCESS DOORS BETWEEN THE HOSPITAL PROPER AND THE CONSTRUCTION AREA. SEE KEY NOTE # 1. F. SUPPLY AND RETURN DUCTWORK SHALL NOT BE USED DURING CONSTRUCTION PHASE - SEAL ALL DUCT OPENINGS AIR TIGHT. G. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF ONE (1) NEGATIVE PRESSURE MACHINE, UNIT WILL RECIRCULATE WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE. 4. COORDINATE IN ADVANCE ANY REQUIRED EQUIPMENT SHUTDOWN WITH THE OWNER, AND VERIFY BEFORE SHUTDOWN THAT EXISTING OR DESIRED AIR PRESSURE RELATIONSHIPS WILL NOT BE ADVERSELY AFFECTED.
