The contractor shall be responsible for securing all required building permits and paying for permit and inspection fees. Permit and impact fees will be considered a reimbursable cost to the owner. 6. Unless specifically requested and approved, allowances in lieu of a price are NOT acceptable. 7. Additional printing shall the contractor's responsibility. . 8. Bids shall be considered valid for 45 days. 11 General conditions of the construction contract: 1. AIA document A201 shall be considered a part of this contract. 2. The contract documents are intended to show the scope of work in sufficient detail for permitting, for creating a construction proposal and to help define a complete construction project. 3. The contractor shall consider this scope of work a complete construction project and shall bid it as such. 4. The contractor shall be responsible for the means and methods of construction. 5. The contractor shall be responsible for coordination of all of the trades and work implied by a trade. One trade's work maybe partially defined on the pages generally used to define another trade. The general contractor shall be responsible for biding and building a complete project. 6. The contractor shall be responsible for understanding the entire scope of work and forwarding requests for information if clarification is required. 7. The contractor shall foresee long lead items and coordinate their delivery within the construction schedule. 8. The contractor shall be responsible for the openings and supports required by mechanical and electrical equipment. 9. The contractor shall be responsible for blocking for equipment. 10. The contractor shall be responsible for site safety. 11. The contractor shall maintain an appropriate level of liability insurance and produce evidence of such insurance with the first application for payment. 12. The contractor shall be responsible for full time field project supervision and shall keep a copy of the construction documents on site at all times. 13. All work shall conform to applicable building codes and ordinances. 18. Applicable codes shall take precedence over the drawings. The contractor shall be familiar with applicable codes and laws. 19.
