HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS
FOR WALL -MOUNTED DEVICES
1. EACH MANUAL FIRE ALARM BOX SHALL BE SECURELY MOUNTED. THE OPERABLE PART FOR EACH MANUAL
FIRE ALARM BOX SHALL NOT BE MORE THAN ±48" (1.37 M) ABOVE FLOOR LEVEL.
2. WHERE CEILING HEIGHTS ALLOW, WALL -MOUNTED APPLIANCES SHALL HAVE THEIR BOTTOMS AT ±80" A.F.F.
3. WALL -MOUNTED VISUAL APPLIANCES SHALL BE MOUNTED ±80 IN. (2 M) FROM THE
BOTTOM OF THE DEVICE TO THE FINISHED FLOOR.
4. WHERE COMBINATION AUDIBLE/VISIBLE APPLIANCES ARE INSTALLED, THE LOCATION OF THE INSTALLED
APPLIANCE SHALL BE DETERMINED BY VISIBLE APPLIANCES.
