UPON COMPLETION OF THE APPLICATION OF THE TERMITE PROTECTIVE TREATMENT, A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE SHALL BE ISSUED TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT BY THE LICENSED PEST CONTROL COMPANY THAT CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT: "THE BUILDING HAS RECEIVED A COMPLETE TREATMENT FOR THE PREVENTION OF SUBTERRANEAN TERMITES. TREATMENT IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULES AND LAWS ESTABLISHED BY THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES." CHEMICAL SOIL TREATMENT, INCLUDING SPACES BOXED OR FORMED. R320.1.4 IF SOIL TREATMENT IS USED FOR SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE PREVENTION, CHEMICALLY TREATED SOIL SHALL BE PROTECTED WITH A MINIMUM 6 MIL VAPOR RETARDER TO PROTECT AGAINST RAINFALL DILUTION. IF RAINFALL OCCURS BEFORE VAPOR RETARDER PLACEMENT, RETREATMENT IS REQUIRED. ANY WORK, INCLUDING PLACEMENT OF REINFORCING STEEL, CHEMICAL TREATMENT UNTIL THE CONCRETE FLOOR IS OURED, SHALL BE DONE IN SUCH MANNER AS TO AVOID PENETRATING OR DISTURBING TREATED SOIL. R320.1.5 IF SOIL TREATMENT IS USED FOR SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE PREVENTION, CONCRETE OVERPOUR OR MORTAR ACCUMULATED ALONG THE EXTERIOR FOUNDATION PERIMETER SHALL BE REMOVED PRIOR TO EXTERIOR CHEMICAL SOIL TREATMENT, TO ENHANCE VERTICAL PENETRATION OF THE CHEMICALS. R320.1.6 IF SOIL TREATMENT IS USED FOR SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE PREVENTION, CHEMICAL SOIL TREATMENTS SHALL ALSO BE APPLIED UNDER ALL EXTERIOR CONCRETE OR GRADE WITHIN 1 FOOT (305 MM) OF THE PRIMARY STRUCTURE SIDEWALLS. ALSO, A VERTICAL CHEMICAL BARRIER SHALL BE APPLIED PROMPTLY AFTER CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETED, INCLUDING INITIAL LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION/SPRINKLER INSTALLATION. ANY SOIL DISTURBED AFTER THE CHEMICAL VERTICAL BARRIER IS APPLIED SHALL BE PROMPTLY RETREATED. R320.1.7 IF A REGISTERED TERMITICIDE FORMULATED AND REGISTERED AS A BAIT SYSTEM IS USED FOR SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE PREVENTION, SECTIONS ROUGH R320.1.6 DO NOT APPLY; HOWEVER, A SIGNED ONTRACT ASSURING THE INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE AND MONITORING OF THE BAITING SYSTEM FOR A MINIMUM OF FIVE YEARS FROM THE ISSUE OF THE CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY SHALL BE PROVIDED TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL PRIOR TO THE POURING OF THE SLAB, AND THE SYSTEM MUST BE INSTALLED PRIOR TO FINAL BUILDING APPROVAL. IF THE BAITING SYSTEM DIRECTIONS FOR USE REQUIRE A MONITORING PHASE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF THE PESTICIDE ACTIVE INGREDIENT, THE INSTALLATION OF THE MONITORING PHASE COMPONENTS SHALL BE DEEMED TO CONSTITUTE INSTALLATION OF THE SYSTEM. R320.1.8 I A I TERED TREATMENT IS USED FOR SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE PREVENTION, SECTIONS R320.1.1 THROUGH R320.1.6 DO NOT APPLY. APPLICATION OF THE WOOD TREATMENT TERMITICIDE SHALL BE AS REQUIRED BY LABEL DIRECTIONS FOR USE, AND MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO FINAL BUILDING APPROVAL. R320.2 PENETRATION. PROTECTIVE SLEEVES AROUND METALLIC PIPING PENETRATING CONCRETE SLAB -ON -GRADE FLOORS SHALL NOT BE OF CELLULOSE- CONTAINING MATERIALS AND, IF SOIL TREATMENT IS USED FOR SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE PROTECTION, SHALL RECEIVE APPLICATION OF A TERMITICIDE IN ANNULAR SPACE BETWEEN SLEEVE AND PIPE. R320.3 CLEANING. CELLS AND CAVITIES IN MASONRY UNITS AND AIR GAPS BETWEEN BRICK, STONE OR MASONRY VENEERS AND THE STRUCTURE SHALL BE CLEANED OF ALL INIONPRESERVATIVE TREATED OR NONNATURALLY DURABLE WOOD, OR OTHER CELLULOSE -CONTAINING MATERIAL PRIOR TO CONCRETE PLACEMENT. PRESSURE PRESERVATIVELY TREATED WOOD AND NATURALLY TERM[ TE- RESISTANT WOOD SHALL NOT BE USED AS A PHYSICAL BARRIER UNLESS A BARRIER CAN BE INSPECTED FOR ANY TERMITE SHELTER TUBES AROUND THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE EDGES AND JOINTS OF A BARRIER. R320.5.1 FIELD TREATMENT. FIELD CUT ENDS, NOTCHES AND DRILLED HOLES OF PRESSURE PRESERVATIVELY TREATED WOOD SHALL BE RETREATED IN THE FIELD IN ACCORDANCE WITH AWPA M4. R320.6 FOAM PLASTIC PROTECTION. EXTRUDED AND EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE, POLYISOCYANU RATE AND OTHER FOAM PLASTICS SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED ON THE EXTERIOR FACE OR UNDER INTERIOR OR EXTERIOR FOUNDATION WALLS OR SLAB FOUNDATIONS LOCATED BELOW GRADE. THE CLEARANCE BETWEEN FOAM PLASTICS INSTALLED ABOVE GRADE AND EXPOSED EARTH SHALL BE AT LEAST 6 INCHES (152 MM). EXCEPTIONS: 1. BUILDINGS WHERE THE STRU U AL F WALLS, FLOORS, CEILINGS AND ROOFS ARE ENTIRELY OF NONCOMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS OR PRESSURE PRESERVATIVELY TREATED WOOD. 2. WHEN IN ADDITION TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION R320.1, AN APPROVED METHOD OF PROTECTING THE FOAM PLASTIC AND STRUCTURE FROM SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE DAMAGE IS PROVIDED. 3. ON THE INTERIOR SIDE OF BASEMENT WALLS. GENERAL NOTES Bathroom #2 - Hall - Demo existing door and frame. - Re-frome opening for a 36" wide door. - Install new 3'0" x 6'8" pre -hung, hollow core door unit with lever lock. - Mortise trim on inside of door to fit against wall and vanity. - Point door and frame completely. - Install horizontal grab bar in front of toilet at height suitable to owner. - Remove and replace regular toilet with new handicap toilet and seat. Kitchen Cut the west countertop, south end, back approximately 20" removing the south door of that base cabinet. Using the west side and the south end, make two side legs to hold top, Lower countertop height down to 31" high, 29" clear height. Install splash between 36" countertop height and new 31" height. Reinstall end panel 20" north. Patch as necessary wood floor in 20" x 25" area where base cabinet was removed for a roll -under area. Utility Room - Demo southwest corner of existing utility room. - Demo from edge of door in room, northwest at an angle approximately 7 LF from southwest existing corner. By removing 90 degree corner and installing an angle wall approximately 7 LF long, you will create a walkway approximately 42" wide so that a wheelchair con travel from back patio to carport and be under roof and out of weather. - Relocate one wall light, one light switch, and one wall outlet. - Re -frame new angle wall and reinstall existing vinyl lap siding. - Provide all necessary vinyl lop components to tie new design into existing design. Interior will remain as is with exposed studs. Remove existing block skirting on west side of sidewalk for approximately 12 LF and install vinyl in place of block to gain 4" of width. Master Bathroom - Demo toilet. - Demo bathroom door and frame. - Demo two toilet room walls (west and south), - Demo vanity top, sinks, faucets, and base cabinets. - Demo mirror above vanity. - Save sinks, faucets, and mirror to reinstall. - Demo shower walls, shower valve, shower floor and floor drain. - Demo wall cabinet - reinstall in bedroom closet. - Demo floor covering in bathroom. - Demo north wall, east end, for a new 36" door. - Frame in new door opening. Frame to close up old door opening. - Rough in plumbing: Install toilet water line, east wall, south end, (corner of room) and its 4" drain line in floor. - Rough in new shower valve and center drain in 5x5 shower floor area in old shower area southwest corner of bathroom. Vanity area remains as is with rough plumbing. - Install pressure treated 2x4's north and south and spaced 12" apart across all of bathroom floor. 2x4's will lay flat on 3-1/2" side and will not be installed in shower area. - In front of new door, 36" wide and 36" into bathroom, cut sleepers (2x4's) at on angle to create a 1 to 12 slope for a ramp. install ?" pressure treated plywood on top of sleepers. I nsz a 11 16" durarock on top of plywood. This will be done throughout oil of bathroom floor except in shower area which will remain at existing floor height. Rough in electric: Remove fan/light from toilet room and its two switches. Balonc,- of electric remains the some. Install shower pan. Install durarock on three walls of shower area up 6 LF above floor. - Install mud set on shower floor; slope all four sides to center drain. - Install moisture rcsistant drywall on walls of bathroom as necessary due to demo, plumbing and electric relocation. - Install ceramic tile on three walls of shower up 6 LF above floor. - Install ceramic tile on shower floor. - Install marble sills on two open faces of shower floor to stop flowing water. - Install new 3'0" x 6'8" hollow core, pre -hung door unit with lever lock in bathroom. - Install ceramic tile floor on balance of floor outside of shower. - Install marble sill at door. - Point bathroom walls, doors, and trim completely. - Install 36" vanity cabinet. - Install 72" long x 22" deep countertop. South 36" of vanity will be a roll -under area. Countertop will hove three wall splashes. - Install new handicap toilet and seat. - Reinstall two existing sinks and faucets in vanity area. - Reinstall existing mirror above vanity. - Trim out sho-.,,er valve. Exterior Door Sun Room Form, pour, and finish a 4x4 landing flush with floor of sun room. Stem wall on four sides of landing to be poured solid and have two #5 steel re -bars in each wall. Floor of landing to have wire mesh. From 4x4 landing on east side, form, pour, and finish a 4 LF wide set of steps down to sidewalk. Install handroils on landing and both sides of steps. Roils are to match existing rails as closely as possible. Front Door - Demo existing rails on porch steps and sidewalk; save to reinstall. - Form, pour, and finish a cop on porch level with floor of home. - Form, pour, and finish a 4x19 LF romp from east side of landing toward the driveway. Finish ramp flush with new cop height and existing sidewalk. - Remove lost 4 LF of sidewalk at base of romp so that concrete pour will be 4" in thickness. - Reinstall hand roil on porch and romp that was removed.
