C ENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 It I5 the contractors responsibility to determine erection procedre and sequence
to ensure the safety of the, building and its component pares during construction.
12 All work Is to be done in a neat, workmanlike manner by qualified skilled craftsmen.
All contractors aid subcontractors must be properly insured.
1.3 Coe shall be taken to assure that the project site is safe and that debris is
removed or collected in a secure enclosure.
1.4 The work of this project shall include all necessary labor, materials, licenses and
permits required to complete the work as indicated by the, drawings and
specifications in a good and workmanlike .manner.
15 The Bid for the work shall include that work associated with the renovation
of the project that Is generally indicated on, but 15 not necessarily limited
to, the drawings and applicable specifications.
1.6 All work shall be. in accordance with the requinemient5 of the latest
editions of the 2023 Florida Building Gode, 2023 Florida Mechanical
Code, 2023 Florida Plumbing Code, National Electrical Code and Life
Safety 101 Code all as other applicable codes and ordinances.
Accessibility must meet the requirements of the 2023 Florida Building
Godo.
1.7 All prospective contractors and subcontractors shall visit the premises in order
to become thoroughly familiar with the work and working conditions. Bid amounts
shall include all work associated with the various components of the work
described on the plans whether stern in full ad complete detail or not.

I.Q The contractor shalt be solely responsible for proper and accurate layout of
lines and grades necessary to accomplish the work in a good and workmanlike
manner. The contractor shall verify all dimnerelons and figres indicated on the
drawings before laging out the work aid will be responsible for any error or
Inaccuracies resulting from its failure to do so. The EN61NEER assnxnes no
responsibility for laying out the work.
1.10 Electrical, plumbing and mechamical subcontractors shall provide for additional
engineering (if required) and shall secure all necessary permits, pay all
associated fees and arrange for all necessary inspections that may be,
required.
1.11 All materials used In the, work shall be as specified. In the absence of
specifications for any materials required for the performance of the work,
materials used shall be the best of their respective -kinds.
1.12 Any deviations from the draw" and specifications must be, approved by the
EN65INEER prior to construction. Amy deviations that ice not approved shall
become the sole responsibility of the contractor.
1.13 All mater€a15, systems, aid construction components shall be installed in
accordance with the manufacturer's published Instructions and specifications. The
contractor shall coordinate the work of all trades In order to as e, proper
clearances and coordination of the work.
1.14 It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to property store and protect all
materials delivered to the, job site. Any loss of any rxatature shall be, bonne by the
contractor.
1.15 The premises and work areas shall be mmaintalred in a reasonably neat and
orderly condition and shall be. kept free from accumulations of waste and debris.
The contractor shall be responsible for removal of all trash, waste and debris
from the project site and shall dispose of some in a proper and legal manner.
I.lb Gasoline, fuel oil, paint thinners and all other hazardous materials shall not be
stored nstab of the premises. Use of such products or products containing
such components shall only be. used with adequate and proper ventilation and
shall be dispensed from containers approved for such use. The contractor
shall maintain all necessary Material Safety Data Sheets (M5D5) on the
project site for all products requiring same.
1.17 The contractor shall comply with all applicable rules and regulations of 0514A.
I.IS The contractor shall provide and maintain all necessary temporary shoring or
bracing or, may be, required to prevent damage to the owners property or
injury to persons.
l,lg The contractor shall not commence work until the Owner has been provided
with a certificate of wurance indicating appropriate minimum insurance
coverages.
1.20 All work shall be guaranteed by the contractor for a period of one year with
exception of products and compoents whose manufacturers provide for
additional warranty aWor gxronnty periods or as may, be otherwise specified
heron. Prior to feral payment, the contractor shall provide an originally signed
guaranty for the work aid otter lcable warranties and guaranties to the
owner.

Institute (ACI) Manual of Standard Practice, Parts I, 2, and 3, Including
recommendations for hot weather concreting and AGI 30 Wilding Coact
requirements for reiriforced concrete.
