SCOPE OF WORD
1.
This project is to install support columns under existing balcony's
on second floor.
2.
Contractor is to remove and keep for reuse existing pavers for access
to install footers for proposed columns.
3.
Columns are to be placed and centered under existing 2nd floor
columns. Proposed columns and proposed parallam are to be
wrapped with some material as columns on 2nd floor. Wrapping to be
field
verified.
4.
1st.. floor balconyceilings are to be removed to allow access for

installation of Parallam. Parallam is t installed f t

bottom chord of existing pre—engineered I � i g �

have Simpson H3 installed on both sides of joist to parallam as shown
on section. Parallam to be wrapped same as columns.
Existing ceiling is to be reinstalled.
5.
Proposed columns are to be notched at top to recieve parallam.
Parallam to be thru bolted w/(2)1/2"O bolts at each column
connection.
6.
Contractor to make sight visit to verify and clarify w/Owners the
scope of work to be done:.
7.
All work to comply with the FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, 7th EDITION
(2020).

Remove and save existing pavers for proper
installation of concrete footers for proposed columns. j
Add concrete cap (as indicated) to allow column to
be installed flush with top of pavers. Omit where
pavers not present (Balcony 1). Field verify depth of •
pavers. •
