Princeton Engineering was asked to review the roof of Kenneth Eaton, located at 39616 Amerthyst Way,
Zephyrhills, FL by Vision Solar, to determine its suitability to support a PV solar system installation.
The referenced building's roof structure has been field measured by Vision Solar on 12/08/2021. The framing
calculations we prepared reflect the results of those field measurements combined with the PV solar module
ocations shown on the construction PV solar roof layout design prepared by Vision Solar. Loads are calculated to
combine the existing building and environmental loads with the proposed new PV array loads.
Vision Solar has selected the Iron Ridge XR-100 racking system. The racking shall be placed as shown on the
plans prepared by Vision Solar, dated 12/13/2021. Rack support spacing shall be no more than shown on each.,
calculation. Note that support points for alternating rows shall share the same rafter. Intermediate rows shall
move the support points to laterally the next rafter.

Framing Summary
Based upon the attached calculations, the roofs are capable of supporting the additional loading for the proposed
Vision Solar PV system along with the existing building and environmental loads.

IFRAMING ANALYSIS
THE STRUCTURE FOR THE BUILDING HAS BEEN EVALUATED FOR THE ADDITIONAL LOAD OF SOLAR PANELS TO BE INSTALLED
AND WAS FOUND TO BE ACCEPTABLE, THE ROOF FRAMING WAS FOUND TO BE CONSTRUCTED OF THE FOLLOWING:
RAFTERS 2X6 @ 16" ON CENTER WITH 1/2" PLYWOOD SHEATHING AND ASPHALT SHINGLES
THE ADDITIONAL SOLAR PANEL LOAD TO THE BUILDING'S ROOF HAS BEEN CALCULATED BELOW.
THE NEW SUPERIMPOSED LOAD IS UNDER THE RECOMMENDED MAXIMUM VALUE OF 4 LBS. PER SO. FOOT, THUS MAKING THE
ROOF CAPABLE OF SUPPORTING THE ADDITIONAL LOAD. LOAD TABULATION WAS EVALUATED AS FOLLOWS:
52 MOUNTING POINTS WITH A POINT LOAD OF 21 LBS. PER LAG PIN
PANEL COUNT X WEIGHT PER PANEL = TOTAL WEIGHT y' F ILJII x ^ UPGRADES,
25 X 43.90 = 1097.5
PANEL COUNT X AREA PER PANEL = TOTAL AREA NONE
25 X 19.29 = 482.25
TOTAL WEIGHT / TOTAL AREA = LBS. PER SQ. FOOT
1097.5 / 482,25 = 2,28

137 MPH CAT2
MOUNTING BRACKET SPACING MAY VARY FROM 20" - 48" O.C. CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY PANEL MANUFACTURER'S
SPECIFICATIONS AND INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS. FOOT SPACING SHALL BE MAX. 4'-0" O.C.
