Hoyir Cicada and Regulatory Manager PlyGem Siding Group 2405 Campbell Road Sidney, Ohio 45365 RE: Florida Evaluation Report, Georgia-Pacific Siding, FBC 2020 Teas° Mr. Ho i This Florida Evaluation Report contains all of the 26 siding products manufactured by Ply / Georgia-Pacific, The report is divided into 5 different siding types; vinyl siding, vertical °nyl siding, foaaa backed vinyl siding, plastic (polypropol n) siding a steel siding. All of the work here is in conformance with the 2020 Florida Building Code d the 2020 Florida residential Code. VINYL SIDINC The following 14 PlyGem / Georgia-Pacific vinyl siding products; park du, Chatham Ridge, Vision Pro, Shadow Ridge, Foiest Ridge, Castle Ridge, Somerset Beaded, GP Park Scape, Compass, Truewall Series 3800, Truewall Series 4000, Truewall Series 4010, Truewall Series 4200, and Truewall Series 4400 have been tested and analyzed in conformance with AS` M D 3679-17 as required by Florida Building Code2020, paragraphs 1404.9 and 1405,.1 ; plus Florida Residential Code 2020, paragraph 703.11, Structural testing to AST5206, as required by AST3679, is reported in ICC ES report TES .-1565. For configurations, thicknesses, nail henna types, horizontal and vertical nail spacings, plus allowable design wired pressures, see table beginning on page 2 have performed a combination of rations and comparative analyses on these products which includes the mandatory requirements of Annex AI.2.1 in ASTM T 3679 Installation must be over 7/16" minimum mailable sheathing. Installation fasteners aaaasst be roofing nails with 3/ " diameter head, 1/ " diameter shank, and a minimum length of 1-1/ 37. The allowable design wind pressures for all of these products have been determined in a separate 8 page structural analyses titled VINYL, PLASTIC, & STEEL SIDING N . EIS FLORIDA EVALUATIONS2020 F C UPDATE. E. In order to achieve the press -tires in the analyses, all studs must have mails in then and all nails must be in studs. Studs must be at 16" spacing. VERTICAL VINYL SIDING The following 5 PlyGein / Georgia-Pacific vertical vinyl siding products; D5 Vertical, T 3-1/3 Vertical, Board & Batten, Beaded, and Truewall Board and Batten have been tested and analyzed in conformance with ASTM D 3679-17 as required by Florida Building Code 2020, paragraphs 1404.9 and 1405.14; plus Florida Residential Code 2020, paragraph 703.11. Structural testing to ASTM D 5206, as required by ASTM D 3679, is reported in IC C ES report ES12-1566. For configurations, thicknesses, nail hem types, horizontal and vertical nail spacings, plus allowable design wind pressures, see table, beginning on page 2 of this report. I have performed a combination of rational and comparative analyses on this product, which includes the mandatory requirements of Annex A1.2.1 in ASTM D 3679. Installation must be over 7/16" minimum mailable sheathing, Installation fasteners must be roofingnails with 3/8" diameter head, 1/8"di ameter shank, and a minimum length of 1-1/2". The allowable design wind pressures for this product have been determined in a separate 8 page structural analyses titled VINYL, PLASTIC, & STEEL SIDING ANALYSES FLORIDA EVALUTAJONS & 2020 FBC UPDATE, Fasteners must be through sheathing and need not be in studs. Studs must be at a maximum 16" spacing. For additional installation details see drawing titled PLYGEM / GEORGIA-PACIFIC VERTICAL VINYL SIDING INSTALLATION Sheet 2 of 7, attached to this report The allowable design wind pressures shown in the table on pages 2, 3 and 4 of this evaluation report can be compared directly to the required wind loads in Chapter 16 of the Florida Building Code. If there are any questions about this, please contact me, FOAM BACKED VINYL SIDING The following PlyGem / Georgia-Pacific foam backed vinyl siding product; Caliber High Performance has been tested and analyzed in conformance with ASTM D 3679-17 as required by Florida Building Code 2020, paragraphs 1404.9 and 1405.14; plus Florida Residential Code 2020, paragraph 703.11. For configurations, thickness, nail types, horizontal and vertical nail spacings, plus allowable design wind pressures, see table on page 3 of this report. Structural testing to ;ASTIR D 5206, as required by .SST M D 3679, was done at Architectural Testing, Inc.'s main laboratory located at 130 Derry Court, York, PA 17402 and is reported in 01-50924.01 (test date 04/29/04) and in 01-50924.02 ( test dates 04/29/04 and 04/30/04). The material (physical) properties testing as required in ASTM Georgia-Pacific Siding Page 6 Georgia-Pacific siding Page 7 I have performed a combination of rational and comparative analyses on these products. Installation must be over 7/16" minimum nailable sheathing. Installation fasteners must be roofing nails with 3/8" diameter head, 1/8" diameter shank, and a minimum length of 1-1/2". The, allowable design wind pressures for all of these products have been determined in a separate 8 page structural analyses titled VINYL, PLASTIC & STEEL SIDING ANALYSES FLORIDA EVALUATIONS & 2020 FBC UPDATE, In order to achieve the pressures in the analyses, all studs must have nails in them, and V2 of all nails must be in studs, Studs must be at 16" spacing. For additional installation details, see drawing titled PL YGEM / GEORGIA -PA CIFIC PLASTIC SIDING INS ALL II Sheet 4 of 7, attached to this report. The allowable design wind pressures shown in the table on page 3 of this evaluation report can be compared directly to the required wind loads in Chapter 16 of the.Florida Building Code, If there are any questions about this, please contact me. STEEL SIDING The following 5 ply getn/Georgia-Pacific steel siding products; Woodgrain D5, Woodgrain Dutchlap D5, Wood rain 1 4, Woodgrain Dutchlap D4, and Wodgrain Vertical Board & Batten 10" have been structurally tested in conformance with ASTD 5206-13 as required by ASTM D3679-17 in Florida Building Code 2020, paragraphs 1404.9 and 1405.14. The reasons this method of testing was chosems that there are no specific requirements in the FBC for testing steel siding panels, and these siding panels are the same shape and configurations as Plygem/Georgia-Pacifie's vinyl siding. The steel siding is also installed in the same manner as vinyl siding. The material thickness of these products meet the requirements of the FBC 2020 Table 1405.2. For configurations, thicknesses, nail hern types, horizontal and vertical nail spacings, plus allowable design wind pressures, see table on page 4 of this report. The allowable design wind pressures shown in this table can be compared directly to the required wind loads in Chapter 16 of the FBC. Structural testing was done at Architectural Testing, Inca's main laboratory located at 130 Derry Court, York, PA 17402, The results of the structural testing are in reports number G7009.01-109-40 (test date 01/31/17) and 01764.01-109-40 (test date 01/31/17). Architectural Testing is now a subsidiary of Intertek, and both names appear on the reports. Georgia-Pacific siding Page 8 Sincerely yours; Allen N.
