Vertical Board & Batten 10" have been structurally tested in conformance with ASTD
5206-13 as required by ASTM D3679-17 in Florida Building Code 2020, paragraphs
1404.9 and 1405.14. The reasons this method of testing was chosems that there are no
specific requirements in the FBC for testing steel siding panels, and these siding panels
are the same shape and configurations as Plygem/Georgia-Pacifie's vinyl siding. The
steel siding is also installed in the same manner as vinyl siding.
The material thickness of these products meet the requirements of the FBC 2020 Table
1405.2. For configurations, thicknesses, nail hern types, horizontal and vertical nail
spacings, plus allowable design wind pressures, see table on page 4 of this report. The
allowable design wind pressures shown in this table can be compared directly to the
required wind loads in Chapter 16 of the FBC.
Structural testing was done at Architectural Testing, Inca's main laboratory located at 130
Derry Court, York, PA 17402, The results of the structural testing are in reports number
G7009.01-109-40 (test date 01/31/17) and 01764.01-109-40 (test date 01/31/17).
Architectural Testing is now a subsidiary of Intertek, and both names appear on the
reports.

To whom it may concern;
The above listed Jacobsen manufactured home is constructed with a structural attachment beam, or
"host beam". The design of this host beam allows an attachment to be made directly to the included
structural member in lieu of the typically required "fourth wall construction". Please refer to the
serialized floor plan provided by Jacobsen Homes to verify the location of the host beam.
This manufactured home is required to be set-up or installed, on -site, in accordance with the Jacobsen
Homes "Set -Up Manual" and its "Addendum". Site requirements must be followed to attach a structure to
the host beam provided. Maximum sizes allowed for any attached structure along with the
requirements for perimeter blocking along the entire sidewall area where the host beam is installed, are
included in these manuals.
All site installed structures shall be designed by a Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of
Florida or as allowed by the Local Authority, Having Jurisdiction (LAHJ). The design shall comply with all
applicable sections of the ELori4a Building 'ode that is in effect during the time of the construction of
the addition. All attachment designs and construction are by others, not Jacobsen Homes. Any site
installed structures shall be subject to permitting, plan review, and inspection(s) by the LAHJ.
