may apply for the intended work, they are advised to contact the Pasco County Building Inspection Division Licensing Section at 727-847- 8009.
Furthermore, if the owner has hired a contractor or contractors, he is advised to have the contractor(s) sign portions of the "contractor Block" of this

other installations not specifically included in the application. A permit issued shall be construed to be a license to proceed with the work and not as
authority to violate, cancel, alter, or set aside any provisions of the technical codes, nor shall issuance of a permit prevent the Building Official from
thereafter requiring a correction of errors in plans, construction or violations of any codes. Every permit issued shall become invalid unless the work
authorized by such permit is commenced Within six months of permit issuance, or if work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned for a
period of six (6) months after the time the work is commenced. An extension may be requested, in writing, from the Building Official for a period not to

What is the Solar Investment Tax Credit?
The Investment Tax Credit (ITC) is currently a 26 percent federal tax credit claimed against the
tax liability of residential (Section 25D) and commercial and utility (Section 48) investors in solar
energy property. The Section 25D residential ITC allows the homeowner to apply the credit to
his/her personal income taxes. This credit is used when homeowners purchase solar systems
outright and have them installed on their homes. In the case of the Section 48 credit, the business
that installs, develops and/or finances the project claims the credit.
How does the Solar Investment Tax Credit Work?
A tax credit is a dollar -for -dollar reduction in the income taxes that a person or company claiming
the credit would otherwise pay the federal government. The ITC is based on the amount of
investment in solar property. Both the residential and commercial ITC are equal to 26 percent of
the basis that is invested in eligible property which have commence construction through 2019.
The ITC then steps down to 26 percent in 2020 to 2022. After 2022, the residential credit will drop
to zero while the commercial and utility credit will drop to a permanent 10 percent
"You are responsible for property taxes on property you own. Consult a tax professional to
understand any tax liability or eligibility for any tax credits that may result from the purchase of
your distributed energy generation system."

Financial Institution example:
Loan Term: Ex, 20 year 3.99 APR
Monthly Payments 1- 17: $189
Monthly Payments 18+: $189
"The first monthly payment on the loan is due approximately 60 days after installation.
The calculation of the monthly payments for the first 18 months following installation
(which includes the first 17 payments) (the "Initial Period") assumes that you will pay
down the loan during the Initial Period by 26%. If you make aggregate principal
payments in such amount during the Initial Period, your monthly payments following
the Initial Period will remain the same as during the Initial Period. If during the Initial
Period you elect to pay principal in any amount that is less than 26% of your loan
amount, your monthly payment beginning upon conclusion of the Initial Period and
throughout the rest of the term of the Loan will be increased to amortize the full
principal loan balance (which would be greater than the originally assumed amount)
over a period which is effectively 18 months shorter. Conversely, if you pay down
greater than 26% of the principal balance during the Initial Period, your monthly
payments following the conclusion of the Initial Period will be reduced to reflect the
payment of a lesser principal balance than originally assumed for the balance of the
term. Please carefully review the details of your loan, including the payment amounts,
provided in your loan agreement."
You are responsible for obtaining insurance policies or coverage for any loss of or damage to the
system. Consult an insurance professional to understand how to protect against the risk of loss or
damage to the system.

Roof Mounted Solar Array Structural Certification
The solar array to be mounted on the above referenced location has been evaluated and found
to be in compliance with the 2020 Florida Building Code 7th Edition and 2020 Florida
Building Code Residential 7th Edition.
The same wind load can be expected for the solar array as with the original roof structure as
the pitch of the array is the same as the original roof pitch. It is my professional opinion and
experience that the attachments provide a significant factor of safety to overcome uplift from
wind at 160 mph 3 sec gust and shear from wind and array weight. Wind exposure C.
Based upon our inspection, we conclude that the existing Structure is adequate to support the
proposed solar panel being installed.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me at (407) 554-1500.

The weight on the rooftp is distributed in a manner that reduces the
overall roof load, and it minimizes roof leaks.
Both the mounting equipment and the solar panels weigh 4 lbs per
