November 27, 1990
Lloyd R, Dunkle
38329 - 15th Ave.
Zephyrhills, Fl, 33540
Dear Mr. Dunkle:
Nov. 26, 1990 you called for a final inspection on your carport.
Upon doing so we find not a single carport but one and a half
carports.
The instructions you gave us was for a carport with a 10 foot
6 inch setback. We do allow a normal 18 inch overhang or eave
and in some cases 24 inches when it's safe to do so. However,
you have constructed a 5 foot extension beyond the supports of
your carport which is an encrochment in the setback area. This
additional unsupported area also adds 3,600 pounds of updraft
wind pressure to the roof.
Mr. Dunkle, if this idea of a carport had been on your drawing,
it would not have been permitted. At least 3 feet of this
5 foot overhang roof area must be removed within thirty (30)
days from receipt of this notice.
Please call if you want to discuss this project.
Sincerely,
f;B~~
