E. UNLICENSED CONTRACTORS AND CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
If the owner has hired a contractor or contractors to undertake work, they may bi requIred to be licensed in accordance with
state and local regulations. If the contractor 15 not licensed as required by law, both the OMner and contractor ~ay be
cited for a lisdeaeanor violation under state law, If the owner or intended contracte,r are uncertain as to what licensing
requirelents lay apply for the intended work, theY are advised to contact the City of Zephyrhills 8uilding Departeent, (813)

Furtheraore, if the owner has hired a contractor or contractors, he is advised to have the ce,ntractorts) sign portions of the
'Contractor Sections' of this application for which they will be responsible. If you, as the e,wner sign as the contractor,
you are indicating that you, rather than the contractor, are responsible for the work. If the contractor wishes you to sign
as contractor that lay be an indication that he is not properly licensed and is not entitled to per~itting privileges in the
City of Zephyrhills.

A perlit issued shall be construed to be a license to proceed with the work and not as authority to yiol~te, cancel alter, or
set aside any provisions of the technical codes, nor shall issuance of a pl~rmit prevent the Building Official fro~ thereafter
requiring a cc.rrectic.n c,f errc,rs in plans, cc,nstructic,n, or violations c,f any code. Every pNmit iss\ll'd ohall bece'le invalid
unless the work authorized by such permit is commenced within six months c.f iss\lance, or if \Iork authorized by the perlit is
