A Tank Closure Assessment will be performed in accordance with Florida Administrative Code (FAC) Rules Chapter 17- 761 and 17-770. The underground steel tanks with associated piping and ancillary equipment will be removed. A Storage Tank Notification [Form 17- 61.900(3)] listing the tank is attached for your review. An organic Vapor Analyzer (OVA) screening will be performed at the time of tank removal to identify any "excessively contaminated soil" All soil exceeding the fuel oil 50.0 ppm recommended guideline standard (FAC Chapter 17-770) will be removed under an Initial Remedial Action (IRA). The IRA will involve excavation, stockpiling, loading, transportation, and thermal treatment of any petroleum product contaminated soil. All soil will be hauled by DOT licensed vehicles to a FDER permitted rotary kiln soil remediation unit.
