B. UNLICENSED CONTRACTORS AND CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
If the owner has hired a contractor or contractors to undertake work, they .ay be required to be licensed in accordance with
state and local regulations. If the contractor is not licensed as required by law, both the owner and contractor lay be
cited for a lisdeleanor violation under state law. If the owner Dr intended contractor are uncertain as to what licensing

Further.ore, if the owner has hired a contractor or contractors, he is advised to have the contractor!s} sign portions of the
"Contractor Sections' of this application for which they will be responsible. If you, as the owner sign as the contractor,
you are indicating that you, rather than the contractor, are responsible for the work. If the contractor wishes you to sign
as contractor that lay be an indication that he is not properly licensed and is not entitled to perlitting privileges in the
City of Zephyrhills.

addressing a "colpensating volule" will be sublitted which is prepared by a professional engineer registered in the State of
Florida prior to per.it issuance.
A perlit issued shall be construed to be a license to proceed with the work and not as authority to violate, cancel alter, or
set aside any provisions of the technical codes, nor shall issuance of a per.it prevent the Building Official frol thereafter
requiring a correction of errors in plans, construction, or violations of any code. Every per.it issu~d shall beco.e invalid
unless the work authorized by such perlit is COllenced within six .onths of issuance, or if work authol Ized by the per.it is

allowed for the permit with fee charge of $15.00. The extension shall be requested in writing to the Building Official. An

RE: INSTALLATION OF NEW SCREEN ROOM AND CONVERTING SUNPORCH INTO
BATHROOM.
I hereby submit specifications and estimates for.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1) Provide all necessary permits.
2) Provide adequate supervision to insure the job will be
executed correctly and timely.
3) Remove all construction debris from the job site as it accumulates.
4) Provide a limited 5 year warranty on the soil poisoning.
5) There will be approximately 168 square feet in new screen room
and 64 square feet of existing sun porch converted to bathroom
and walk in closet.
6) All materials and labor shall have a one year warranty.
EXCAVATION:
1) Scraping of lot area as needed prior to construction.
2) Supply clean compacted fill as needed.
3) Final grade upon completion of job.
4) Removal of waste materials from job site.
CONCRETE AND MASONRY:
1) All footings are to be 8 X 16" with two #5 rebar continuous
and 3000 psi concrete.
2) All corners are to have two #5 rebar extending from footing to
the tie beam. Tie bean to be poured solid with #5 rebar as
shown on prints.

3) All foundations of block construction or formed and poured on
a monolithic slab.
4) All flat work is to be 4" thick 3000 psi concrete and have 6"
X 6" #10 welded wire mesh 6 mil visqueen and be treated for
termites.
5) Exterior wall of bathroom area shall be vertical Aluminum
siding as shown on drawings.
FRAMING:
1) All interior walls of 2 X 4" studding, 16" on center.
2) Windows to be single hung, single glaze with a mill finish.
3) Window areas, in Florida room, that are closed in for bathroom
shall be insulated with R-11 Fiberglass batts.
INTERIOR FINISHES:
1) ~"drywall all interior walls.
2) Interior doors to be luan pre-hung with colonial trim.
Baseboards to be colonial trim also.
3) One coat primer and two coats of commercial grade paint
applied on all interior walls.
4) All window sills to be marble.
5) Kwick set hardware installed on both interior doors.
6) No floor covering is included in this bid.
