If the owner has hired a contractor or contractors to undertake work, they may be r~quired to be licensed in accordance with
state and local regulations. If the contractor is not licensed as required by law, both the Oliner and contractor ~ay be
cited for a misdemeanor violation under state law. If the owner or intended contractor are uncertain as to lihat licensing
requireaents may apply for the intended work, they are advised to contact the City of Z~phyrhills Building Department, (813)
788-6611.
Furthermore, if the owner has hired a contractor or contractors, he is advised to have the contractor!s} sign portions of the
"Contractor Sections" of this application for which they will be responsible. If you, as the owner sign as the c(,ntractor,
you are indicating that you, rather than the contractor, are responsible for the norp.. If the contractor wishes you to sign
as contractor that may be an indication that he is not properly licensed and is not entitled t(, permitting privileges in the
City of Zephyrhills.

9. Repeat steps #7 & #8 for the remaining "Collector-Couples" and then connect the "Collector-Couples"
together with a PPC as described on page 13. At this point it would he easier to snap the hottom half of
the PPC into the Sled before inserting the gasket and clamping the panels together.
NOTE: If the panels are installed on a significantly steep roof (4/12 or greater slope), the installation of
additional Pads, Sleds, and PPe's are required in the center of the top header of each panel. In this case,
the PPC will be clamped over the center welding joint of the top header. This additional anchoring will
prevent sagging of the headers.
NOTE: It is important that the 47" dimension between Pads he accurate so the Sleds will he located in
the center of the Pads. This will allow for maximum horizontal expansion.
NOTE: If you are mounting on flat tile and the tiles you are mounting to are securely fastened to the roof,
you can fasten the pad to the tile using AC-l2 7 tapcons.
