A perlit issued shall be construed to be a license to proceed lIith the lIork and not as authority to violate, cancel alter, or
set aside any provisions of the technical codes, nor shall issuance of a perlit prevent the Building Official frol thereafter
requiring a correction of errors in plans, construction, or violations of any code. Every perlit issued shall becole invalid
unless the Mork authorized by such pertit is cOI.enced within six lonths of issuance, or if lIork authorized by the permit is
suspended or abandoned for a period of six .onths after the tile the 1I0rk is co..enced. One 90 day extension of tile, lay be
allowed.for the perlit with fee charge of $15.00. The extension shall be requested in IIriting to the Building Official. An
approved inspection lust be logged during each six lonth period, or the project lIill be considered abandoned.

RE: Renovation of Medical Building

Dear Pastor Rushlow;
I have inspected the existing roof trusses in the building you are
renovating for a new church. Several trusses have been altered by
the previous building owner in order to provide a storage room in
the attic of the building. Alteration of these trusses was accom-
lished by removing the center two diagonal web members. Approxi-
mately 12 to 15 inches ot the ends of the diagonal web members
together with the metal gusset plates are still in place.
An acceptable method of repair would be to remove all sheetrock
from the modified room area. Reconstruct the diagonal web members
by replacing them with 2 x 4 members overlapping the remaining ends
ot the original members. The new members are to be connected to
the remaining ends by installing (2) 5/16" bolts with flat washers
at each overlap. All existing horizontal and vertical framing from
which sheetrock has been removed, can remain in place.
