Energy points shall be calculated for an As-Built house and a Baseline house using
actual house configuration and component net areas. Cooling Points, Heating Points and
Water Heating Points shall be calculated separately and then summed. The total points
for the As.Bullt house shall not exceed the total points for the Baseline house. For
a complete description of how to complete Form 600A-93, see the Residential Instruction
Manual,
600.2.A.1 General
600.2.A.1.1 Multipliers. Multipliers are provided on Form 600A-93 for commonly installed
technologies for each building component. Multipliers for some less commonly installed
technologies are provided in Appendix C to this document and are referenced by the
appropriate Code section.
Interpolations of multipliers are allowed by the procedure described in section 1.3 of
Appendix C where rated efficiencies of installed components fall within a range.
Extrapolations of multipliers above the highest value given or below the lowest values
given shall not be permitted. Multipliers are interpolated automatically in the FLA/RES-93
computer program.
600.2.A.1.2 Insulation R-Values. R-values used to determine the appropriate multiplier
for the insulation level installed shall be the R-value of the added insulation only.
Appendix C, section 1,2 contains general rules for insulation which shall be followed.
600.2.A. 1.3 Areas, Areas used in the calculation shall be the actual net areas for each
component determined from the plans and specifications of the building to be
constructed,
600.2.A.2 Residences Not Heated or Not Cooled. Residences which are heated or
cooled, but not both, shall complete both summer and winter calculations, The Baseline
system multiplier divided by 1.10 shall be used for the heating or cooling system not
installed. The duct multiplier for the duct system to be installed shall be used for both
calculations. -
If an addition or part of an addition is claimed to be exempt from the Code because it will
be neither heated nor cooled, the exempt area shall be fully separated from the
conditioned area by walls or doors,
600.2.A.3 Additions
600.2.A.3.1 Additions Complying Alone, Additions to existing buildings shall follow the
same Method A calculation procedure as new construction with the following
qualifications,
1, Calculations shall be conducted using only the components of the addition itself,
including those pre-existing components which separate the addition from
unconditioned spaces,
2. Heating and Cooling System Multipliers shall be equal to the Baseline System
Multiplier divided by 1,10 unless new equipment is installed to replace existing
equip'ment or to service the addition specifically, Addition of new equipment may
qualify for multizone credit (see section 607,2.A.3,2) if all other criteria are met. The
multiplier for the new ductwork to supply the addition shall be used in the calculation.

The Contractor agrees to construct a 645 square foot
addition to the rear of house located at 6134 North
16th Street, Zephyrhills, Florida, as 'follows: A
sitting Room, Bedroom, Walk-In Closet, and Bathroom as
per Plan attached hereto and made a part of this Con-
tract.
1. Remove and cart away the existing Screen Room and Roof.
2, Clear sod from area for new construction and haul
away.
3. FOOTERS: 8"x16" with Two No. 5 Steel Rebar. Pour with
2500 PSI Concrete Mix.
4. Lay 8"x8"x16" Building Blocks one block high for floor.
5. Prepare and pour slab with 2500 PSI Concrete Mix over
construction wire and 6 mil vapor barrier,
6. Soil treatment.
7. EXTERIOR WALLS: 8"x8"x16" Concrete Building Blocks
to heigth of 8 feet or same as existing house wall
together with No. 5 Steel Rods poured in concrete.
8. ROOF: Roof with engineered manufactured trusses approx
imately 3" pitch sheeted with 1/2" CDX 3 Ply Plywood
and plywood clips. Truss strap to concrete lintel
with metal strap.
9, ROOFING: 15# Felt 235# Shingles with 20 year fiber-
glas base. Install ridge vents in new addition and
in existing house. Re-roof existing house same as
addition.
10. Soffitt, fascia, drip edge on addition same as house.
11.
Air/Heat ducts connected to existing house ducts with
6 Air/Heat vents, No change in Air/Heat unit.

ELECTRIC TO PLAN: 12 Wall Outlets, One GFI Outlet,
2 Fan Outlets, 8 Switches, 4 Lights, 1 Bathroom Ex-
haust Fan. CUSTOMER TO FU~NISH FANS, Contractor to
hang fans,

Plumbing pan for shower, shower head with hand-held
head, water closet, 19" China Sink set in vanity, 2
grab bars in shower.

Vanity 60" long with drawers on each end. Linen Clo-
set to fill in extra space, approximately 2' wide.
