B. UNLICENSED CONTRACTORS AND CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
If the owner has hired a contractor or contractors to undertake work, they laY be required to be licensed in accordance with
state and local regulations. If the contractor is not licensed as required by law, both the owner and contractor laY be
cited for a lisdeaeanor violation under state law. If the owner or intended contractor are uncertain as to what licensing
requirl!lellts laY apply for the intended work, they are advised to contact the City of Zephyrhills Building Departlent, (813)
788-6611.
FurtherlOre, if the owner has hired a contractor or contractors, be is advised to bave the contractor(s) sign portions of the
"Contractor Sections' of this application for which they will be responsible. If you, as the owner sign as the contractor,
you are indicating that you, rather than the contractor, are responsible for the work. If the contractor wishes you to sign
as contractor that laY be an indication that he is not properly licensed and is not entitled to peraitting privileges in the
City of Zephyrhills.

I also certify that, if filllaterial is to be used in Flood Zone "AI or "A, etc. ", it is understood that a drainage plan
addressing a "cOlpensating volUJe" will be sublitted which is prepared by a professional engineer registered in the State of
Florida prior to perlit issuance.
A perlit issued shall be construed to be a license to proceed with the work and not as authority to violate, cancel alter, or
set aside any provisions of tbe technical codes, nor shall issuance of a peIlit prevent the Building Official frOll thereafter
requiring a correction of errors in plans, construction, or violations of any code. Every petlit issued shall beCOJe invalid
unless tbe work authorized by such peIlit is COllenCed within six IOntbs of issuance, or if work authorized by the peIlit is
suspended or abandDned for a period of six IOnths after the till! the work is c_enced. One 90 day extension of tile, lilY be
allowed for the peIlit with fee charge of $15.00. fhe extension shall be requested in writing to the Building Official. An
approved inspection lUst be logged during each six IODth period, or the project will be considered abandoned.

WID Truss Company supplied the roof trusses for the above
mentioned house and thus have supplied the truss engineering
which is at the jobsite.
These drawings show all the pertinent information including the
reaction loads at the rear lanai beam. The type A-tO truss has a
reation of 2,169 lbs. and f)'pes A.9 thru ..\.-6 has a reation of 1,819
Jbs.each. The rear wood beam has a uniform load 960 Ibs. pe." foot
and a reaction of 6,720 Ibs. at the bearing of the beam if a center
support column is used. Of COUrse if more than one support
column is used, these figures would be reduced.
