Honeywell has designed a family of control centers to meet every
customer's needs. Control cenlers are used to display system
status, and can perform a variety of system commands, such as
arming or disarming all areas at once, arming or disarming one
area at a time, and arming or disarming an area's perimeter. The
control centers utilize function keys that provide simple, yet
flexible, features such as the "ALL ON/OFF" key that makes
arming and disarming effortless. The control centers also provide
access to a tailored command list, showing users only those
commands they might need.
Employees are assigned a user passcode with its own authority
leveL Passcodes with authority levels provide security against
unauthorized use. A passcode must be used to initiate any
system command.
An Intelliguard system monitored by Honeywell's Customer
Service Center enhances property protection because the fire
or police department is quickly dispatched in response to an
alarm signaL
Intelliguard has received approvals from various agencies,
providing assurance that it meets all industry standards.

Intelliguard 5800/5900 Security System
Features
Multiple Protection Services - Functions such as burglary, fire, sprinkler
supervision, hold-up, and critical equipment monitoring can be combined into
one cost-effective, centrally monitored system,
Area Controlled Security - A business can protect against external and internal
theft because up to eight different areas of a facility can be armed and disarmed
independently in order to provide security in one area while others are occupied.
Multiple Control Centers - Several control centers can be connected to
one control/communicator to allow system operation from several different
locations in the facility,
Shared/Master/Associate Areas - An area can be shared by several security
areas so it is automatically turned on/off as other areas are occupied, Alternately,
an area can be a master area that will arm only after other critical areas are armed.
English Language Display - The optional 540, 541 and 542 Control Centers
have a l6-character alphanumeric display that helps guide the user through
system operation, Clear English language messages show system status,
confirm commands, and give instructions,
LED Display - The optional 550 Control Center has an LED display showing
the status of up to eight points (normal, bypassed or alarm memory), Other
LED indicators show armed status and AC status to help determine the
condition of the system at a glance,
ALL ON/OFF Key - This key provides a simple method to arm and disarm all
areas assigned to a passcode,
Tailored Command List - The system provides a customized list of
commands, in the order of use, according to user and area,
Individual Points of Protection - The system can be equipped to pinpoint
individual doors, windows, fire detectors, or other sensors,
Passcode Access - A personal passcode must be entered each time the system
is operated in order to prevent unauthorized use, Up to seventy individual
passcodes are available, An event logger automatically stores events to provide
an audit trail to track each user.
Authority Levels - One of fifteen authority levels is assigned to each passcode
according to area. This limits each user to only those activities allowed by the
assigned authority leveL
Point Bypass - Designated points of protection can be bypassed before the
system is armed in order to permit continued protection for remaining points.
Specific points can be given priority status to prevent bypass,
Duress Signaling - Users can inconspicuously advise the Honeywell
Customer Service Center of a problem in the event that they are forced to
deactivate the system,
Perimeter Arm - Employees who work late can disarm the interior protection
while the building's perimeter remains armed, When employees leave, they
can conveniently switch from perimeter arm, to complete arm without having
to disarm.
Watch Mode - The system can be programmed to automatically sound a short
tone when point is violated, This alerts occupants to someone entering or
leaving an area when the system is disarmed,
Day Annunciation - Designated protection points can sound a local alarm
during business hours to help prevent internal theft through doors in remote
parts of a facility,
One Person Walk Test - During the walk test mode, points tested are
automatically stored. The 540 Control Center displays a list of points, tested and
untested, which allows one person to check the operation of all protection
devices, Periodic testing provides assurance that the system is operating properly,
Local Printer _ Optional printer(s) provides on-premises recording of system
events, including time, date, event, user number, user ID, point number, and
explanatory text.
Standby Battery - The system automatically switches over to standby
operation in the event of an AC power failure,
High Speed Digital Communicator - The communicator provides low-cost
means of signaling the Honeywell Customer Service Center in order to ensure
a prompt response to alarm and other system messages,

Intelliguard Control Centers
The Honeywell Intelliguard Security System offers four control centers
to meet every customer's needs. Control centers display system status,
and are used to execute a variety of system commands. Each Intelliguard
system employs the appropriate control center to provide security most
efficiently and effectively. An Intelliguard system may consist of only
one type of control center in all areas, or may include a combination of
types according to customer security requirements.
Every control center consists of a display and keypad with which system
activities are initiated. The display provides the current status of the
system and any feedback from the keypad activities. All control centers
have built-in audibles that produce distinct warning tones. The warning
tones assist the user in detennining the Intelliguard system status.
The 540, 541 and 542 Control Centers feature an English language
display with custom programmable text. The alphanumeric display
walks the user through each command, and shows the exact location of
any alann or system trouble.
The 540 Control Center provides system annunciation and control over
all system operations. It features ten numeric keys (1-0) arranged hori-
zontally with five larger function keys also arranged horizontally below
the numeric keys. The function keys are labeled ALL ON/OFF, ENTER,
NEXT, PREVIOUS, and CLEAR. They are easy to use, making day-to-
day operation effortless.
The 541 Fire Control Center provides annunciation as well as system

OSYS-B VALVE INSTAllATION
1. With the valve in the fully open position, locate the model OSYS-B on the
valve yoke as far as possible from the valve gland.
2. Mount the model OSYS-B loosely with the 3. J. bolls supplied so that the
tripping roller is held perpendicular to the base of the model OSYS-B by
the valve stem,
3. Mark the valve stem at the edge of the roller nearest the valve gland,
Close the valve 1 1/4 turns of the wheel and mark the stem at the edge
of the roller nearest the valve wheel.
4. Remove the switch and file a 118. deep groove between the marks with
an S. half round file. Round and smooth the edge of the groove to
prevent damage to the valve packing and to allow the roller to move
easily out of the groove.
5. Open the valve fully and mount OSYS-B loosely with roller centered in
groove and perpendicular to base.
6. Final adjustment is made by positioning OSYS-B where switch will
activate when moving out of groove and deactivate when moving back
into groove with equal overtravel in each direction.
7. Tighten the mounting nuls and dose the valve 2 turns to see that the
roller moves out of the groove easily and activates the switch.
NOTE: CLOSE THE VALVE FULLY TO DETERMINE THAT THE STEM
THREADS DO NOT ACTIVATE THE SWITCH. THE SWITCH BEING
ACTIVATED BY THE STEM THREADS COULD RESULT IN A FALSE
VALVE OPEN INDICATION.
When properly installed. removing the model OSYS-B from the valve will
also activate the switch,

control equipment to alert the hearing impaired. Models with 1 5 cd,
15175(ADA) cd, and 110 cd effective strobe flash intensity are
available, Honeywell horns have a loud piercing sound. They are
easily heard above moderate ambient noise levels and are useful in
areas where bells are used for other signaling systems,
In addition to their UUULC listing as Audible Signals, all models are
listed to standard UL 1971 - Signaling Devices for the Hearing
Impaired and CAN/ULC S526 Standard for Visual Signal
Appliances for Fire Alarm Systems. Each strobe can provide the
"Equivalent Facilitation" allowed under Americans with Disabilities
Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADA(AG)). When applied and
installed in accordance with ANSIINFPA 72 National Fire Alarm Code
(1993). they meet or exceed the illumination which results from the
ADA specified strobe intensity of 75 candela (cd) at 50 feet.
The 792 series is shipped with standard wall mount style "FIRE: lens
markings. Where ceiling mount style, other languages or different lens
markings are required, Honeywell offers optional LKW and LKC series
Lens Marking Kits, These optional lens markings just "snap on" to the
strobe for quick. easy, change. Consult Honeywell for availability of
special lens languages or markings,
