compliance with any applicable deed restrictions.

I f the olvner has hired a contractor or contrClctors to undertake work, they Illay be required
to I.H::l 11 cellsed in accordance with state and local regulations. If the contractor is not
licensed as requi red by law, both the o\-mer and contractor may be cited tor a misdemeanor
violation under fltate lall. If the owner or intended contractor are uncertain as to \-/hat
licensing requirements may apply for the intl':!nded work, they are advised to contact the
City of Zephyrhills Building Department, 813-766-6611.

contr.actor(s) sign portions of the "Contractor Sections" of this application for which they
will b~ responsible. If you, as the owner signs as the contractor, you are indicating that
YOll, rather than the contractor, are responsible for the work. I f the contractot' Ivishes
you to sign as contractor that may be an indication that he is not properly lioensed and is

lien Law - Homeowner's Protection Guide" prepared by the Florida Department of Agriculture
and Conswner Affairs. If the applicant is someone other that the "owner", I cerify that I
have ohti:lined a copy of the above described document and promise in good falth to deliver
lt to the "owner" prior to COllUIlencement.

I certify that all the information in this application is accurate and tllat all work will
be done in compliance with all applicable laws regulating construction, zoning, and land
developmellt.
Applioation is hereby made to obtain a permit to do work and installatioll as indicated. I
certify that no lIork or installation has cownenced prior to issuance of a permit and that
all work \-/111 be performed to meet standards of all laws regulating construction, City
codes, zoning regulations, and land development regulations in tlle jurisdiction. I also
certify that I understand that the regulations of other governmental agencies may apply to

understood that a drainage plan addressing a "compensating volume"'wi.ll be submitted which
is prepared by a professional engirieer registered in the State of Florida prior to permit
issuance.
A permit isslled shall be construed to be a license to proceed with the work and not as
authori l:y to violate, cancel, alter, or set aside any provisions of the technical codes,
nor shall issuallce of a permit prevent the Building Official from thereafter requiring a
correction of errors ill plans, construction, or violations of any code. Every permit
iSl3ued ahall become invalid unless the work authorized by such permit is 'collulIenced Hithin
six montl1s of issuance, or if work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandor~ed for a
period of si~, months after the time the work is cowl\enced. One 90 day extension of time
may be allowed for the permit with fee charge of $15.00. The extension shall be tequeated
in writing to the Building Official. An approved inspection muat be logged during each si),
montb period, or the pr.'oject \-/111 be considered abandoned.
