INSTALLATION OF NEW EPDM ROOFING SYSTEM, OVER
THE EXISTING TROGAL ROOF SYSTEM
Dear Ms. Oisipio:
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to be of service
to you. We greatly appreciate your business. We have
examined the roof on the afore mentioned building, as
requested, and submit the following proposal for your
consideration.
~UNTINGTON ROOFING, INC. WILL FURNISH ALL LABOR, AND MATERIALS TO
~OMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:
1. Furnish, and install 1/2", HO recovery board roofing
insulation as manufactured by Firestone Building Products,
I n c .. Ins u 1 at ion w ill b_e- me c h ani c all y at t a c h e d 0 v e r the
existing Trocal roof system, using approved fasteners, and
insulation plates, as per Firestone Building Products, Inc.
specifications, and recommendations.
2. Furnish, and install Firestone's rubbergard .045 EPOM, non
reinforced roofing membrane (black), using Firestone's
bonding adhesive (BA-2004) to adhere the roofing membrane
to the newly installed HO hard board insulation. Install-
ation of the membrane will be as per Firestone's specifi-
cations, and recommendations for the fully adhered roof
system.
3. Furnish, and install 3/8" COX plywood (4' x 8' sheets) to
all high wall area's over the existing Tr-ocal coated metal
panels. The new COX plywood panels will be mechanically
attached with an approved self drilling fastener, and will
be attached so as to secure to the existing wall studs. The
plywood is needed so that the new EPDM flashing mem-
brane materials will have an approved susbtraite to be ad-
hered to.
4. Furnish, and install new Firestone rubbergard membrane
flashing's, in accordance to Firestone's specifications,
and recommendations, at all of the following locations.
A. Parapet, and high wall area's.
8. All curbed penetrations.
C. All roof drain, and scupper area's.
D. All roof vent pipes.
5. Furnish, and install the following sheet metal flashing's
in accordance with SMACNA (Sheet Metal, and Air Condi-
tioning, Contractors National Association) architectural
sheet metal manual, and specifications.
A. Skirt flashing's, to be installed under back flange of
existing coping cap, and unit tops. To be fabricated
from 24 gauge galvanized sheet metal.
8. Pitch pans at unit leg locations. To be manufactured
from 24 gauge galvanized sheet metal.

Huntington Roofing, Inc., will warrant the newly installed
Firestone membrane roof system for two years from the date
of completion for workmanshiP; however a full roofing system
warranty for 10 years, covered by Firestone Building Products,
of which would give you the security of a manufactures warr-
anty is "included in the above cost.
~pTES :_
1. The existing Trocal roofing system, and its flashing's
along with the 2 inch Isosyanurate insulation, will remain
in place, and the new EPOM roofing system will be installed
over the Trocal roof system.
2. There is electrical box's, and conduit lines that run along
the high north back wall that wi 11 have to be loosened to
install the new COX plywood overlay on the walls, then re-
installed to the new plYWOOd after the walls are flashed.
We do not assume any responsibility for the box's, or the
conduit, or any disruption of electric to the building
caused by loosening or reconnecting these to the wall
area's. I recommend that an electrical contractor, or
Arby's corporate maintenance personnel loosen, and re-
attach these electrical items.
3. The existing satellite system will need to be moved during
the re-roof process. We will attempt to locate it in the
same position as previous, but we assume no responsibility
for damage, or it's location.
4. This proposal does not include repairs to or replacement of
deteriorated sheathing, insulation, metal roof decking or
wood work, and we do not assume responsibility for any
structural, or interior damages caused by existing cond-
itions.
5. All coping cap will remain in place, and will be reused.
6. All debris incurred during re-roofing will be removed, and
property will be left in a clean, and orderly condition.
7. All work will be done in a timely, and safe manor. It may
be necessary to use safety markers to block off area's so
as to keep all foot traffic away from the overhead work
area. We wi 11 do our best to not interrupt the dai ly
business of this facility. However in order to complete
some area's of work close to foot traffic, and to keep all
safe, it may be necessary to keep all non construction
roofing personnel out of an area.
We carry workman's compensation, property damage, and public
liability insurance to protect the owner during the course of the
work. Once work is started, it will be pursued to completion as
weather wi 11 allow during normal work days. If there are any
questions or points we have fai~ed to cover, or make clear, or to
receive your order, we are as near as your phone and welcome your
call, and the opportunity to serve your Roofing needs.
