If the owner has hi~ed a contractor or contractors to undertake work, they may be required
to be licen~ed in accordanoe with state &nd local regulation~. If the contractor is not
licen~ed aa required Py law, both the owner and contractor may be cited for a ~$demeanor
violat.ion un<ie~ state law. It the owner or intendecl contractor are uncertain as to what
licensing requirements may apply tor the intended work, they are advised to contact the
City of Zephyrhilla Building Department, 813-'766-661l.

A permit issued shall be ~onstrued to be a license to proceed with the work and not as
authority to vi.olate, cancel, alter, or set asiele any provisions of the technical codes,
n01: shall issuance of a pennit pJ;event the Building Ot:ficial trom thereafter requiring a
correction of errors in plans, construction, or violations of any code. Every permit
issued shall become invalid unless the work authorized by such pel~t is commenced within
six months of issuance, or if work authorized by the pe~~t 1$ suspended or abandoned for a
period of six month;!! after t.he time the wox:k is commenced. One 90 day extension of 'time
may be allowed for the permit with fee charge of $15.00. The extension shall be requested
i.n writing to the Building Offici-al. An approved inspection must. be logged durh~g eaeh six
month period, or the project will be considered abandoned.
