Chapter 633, Florida statutes, authorizes the City to charge and collect user fees to pay for the costs of fire
prevention and protection related activites such as inspections, plan review, administrative fees, and other
costs related to the aforementioned.
Complete Plans, Specifications and Fee Must Accompany Application. Commencement of work without written approval of
the Fire Department's Fire Marshal or required permits or opening up for commercial activity without an approved final
inspection shall be charged double permit fee per day of operation or a minimum of $100.00, whichever is greater. All
work shall be performed in accordance with City Codes and Ordinances.
Per Ordinance 652, the recreational bum shall be maintained at all times and fire suppression capabilities
shall be on-site. Zephyrhills Fire Rescue Communications shall be contacted at 813-780-0038 prior to the
fire being ignited and after it has been extinguished.

Plan Review Comments
I have reviewed and approved the revised plans for recreational bum located 3751 Laurel
Valley Rd. My comments have been placed below. Please contact me if you have any
questions with regards to my comments.
1. Prior to starting the fire dispatch shall be notified at 813-780-0038. You are to
advise them the location of the fire. A contact number shall be left with dispatch.
2. Contact dispatch when fire is out.
3. A distance of 8 to 10 feet outside the fire shall be cleared of any combustible
vegetation.
4. Immediate perimeter of fire shall be made of block or other non combustible
material.
5. Bum area shall not exceed an 8' x 8' area and pile shall not be higher than 2-3'.
6. Water shall be on site to extinguish the fire completely.
7. If dispatch should receive any call with regards to a viable medical complaint
from the fire, the fire shall be extinguished.
Inspections required:
1. Site Inspection. Fire area shall be set as if ready to bum.
