To date, outstanding punch items have not been addressed or corrected. There are severe erosion issues which are beginning to undermine the sidewalk and cause drop-off hazards along the sidewalk. In addition to erosion issues there is sand, silt and debris within and around the side drain pipe and mitered end sections which must be removed. (see attached site pictures) The FDOT cannot issue a final acceptance or release the performance bond for this project until outstanding issues have been corrected. Technically, the connection to US 301 is in violation because the punch items were never completed (within 30 days of Conditional Acceptance). We are trying to avoid issuing a violation notice and/or revoking their permit for the US 301 driveway but that may be our only option at this point. If FDOT acceptance is needed for Verizon to get their Certificate of Occupancy, we cannot issue a Final Acceptance until the punch items have been corrected and recommend the C of O be withheld until the Red Rabbit's permitee/developer make corrections as stated in the Conditional Acceptance (and in my email of 2/24). If you need additional information, please let me know and also, please let me know how you decide to proceed.
