The Assistant Fire Marshal reviewed the site however the guide lines for burning (City Ordinance 652) have been listed below. By paying for permit, applicant acknowledges complying with the following items below. Should anyone have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Fire Marshal's office. 1. An air curtain is not required because this is not a land clearing situation. 2. Open burning shall be 300' away from any other occupied building. 3. Open burning shall be 100' from any public road. 4. Open burning shall be initiated after 9:00 a.m. and extinguished 1 hour before sunset. Fire shall be attended at all times. 5. Fire shall be located in a pit with the ground being cleared around the pit. Pit size shall not exceed 8' x 8'x 8'. 6. There shall be a water source at the site to adequately extinguish the fire. 7. Fire Rescue Dispatch shall be notified once the fire is started and once the fire is extinguished. A contact number shall be left with dispatch.
