Your existing Air Conditioning system is installed m attic space. If Air Conditioning system is to remain in attic space, new mechanical codes require access to be large enough in ceiling or gable to allow unit replacement without structural changes. In addition, the unit must be accessible for maintenance within five feet of access. Units located in hot attic spaces are typically much less efficient than those in cooler locations due to the thin cabinet insulation. Pattie Electric proposes to purchase materials and labor to make the following Air Conditioning modifications: 1- A new 36,OOOBTU, 15SEER, two stage Nordine heat pump package unit will be installed on concrete pad located at North end of home. Unit will be secured in accordance with current mechanical codes. New unit is wacranted by manufacturer to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 10 years and to include rep(acement of any defective parts during this period, labor is not included for part replacement after the 90day initial installation. In addition, if the compressor fails from faulty materials or workmanship within the I Oyear period, Nordine will provide a complete new replacement package unit 2- Air Conditioning duct system will be modified to accept new outside unit supply and return air. 3- New two stage thermostat will be installed for system operation 4- Any ceiling outlets that require changes in air capacity will be modified as necessary 5- Bedrooms that are missing return air pass-thru will be provided these items 5- Electrical branch circuits will be provided for heat and cool system operation 7- Return air system will be modified to operate with new unit location 8- Supply air system will be modified to operate with new unit (ocation 9- Outside duct system will be covered with metal shroud from package unit ta area above gable penetration All work by Pattie Electric will be done in a workmanlike manner and meet or exceed local and national mechanical standards. Our work schedule, in so far as practical, will be coordinated with owner to assure a timely and least disruptive installation. Pattie Electric proposes to purchase materials and labor to make the following electrical modifications. 1- An electrical permit will be obtained to replace existing home service entrance equipment and to re-wire all internal convenience outlets and lights. 2- Existing electrical service panel located in utility room will be removed and all new branch circuits will be re-routed to a new outside service panel. 3- Electrical power entrance on NW corner of home will be modified to provide a new and larger service entrance and circuit breakers 4- All rooms will be rewired to provide outlets in accordance with current electrical codes (GFI in bathroom, kitchen, and outside outlets. Arc fault receptacles in bedrooms). 5- Existing outlets that will not be re-used due to their location will have the old wire removed and the boxes will be blanked off. 6- Smoke detectors will be installed in accordance with national and local codes. 7- Light fixture outlets and switching wil] remain at their present location. Any existing fixtures that will be changed will have the new fixture provided by owner to assure color and style preference 8- Electrical branch circuit to gate lights will be repaired if access within pedestal is available. New light fixtures, if needed, will be provided by owner. 9- Electrical work is predicated on being able to route conductors within the concrete block cells and no solid poured lintel. If we encounter conditions that prevent conductor installation through top wall plate, adjustments will be required in project cost to satisfy installation requirements and aesthetics. No additional work will be done without owners written authori2ation. All work by Pattie Electric will be done in a workmanlike manner and meet or exceed local and national electrical standards. Our work schedule, in so far as practical, will be coordinated with owner to assure a timely and least disruptive installation.
