Overview Standard Features
i"he GE S11C is a conventional photoelectric, direct-wire smoke • But-in drift comperuation reduces nuisance alorms
detectnr with drift comperisation. a snap
The S11C corrtinually monitors iks awn sensitivity and opertior►al . Small, tow-profile design blends in with arry environment
status, and provides a visuat indication if it drifts out of the sensitiv-
ity range or fails intemal dicgnostics.
Time between cleaning detectors is dromatically increa.,ed because
of the S11Cs built-in drift compensatia. Th feature, usually oMy
availabie in anabg systQrts. albws the detector to uutomatitaliy
adjust its sensitivity over ti►ne as it becornes dirty, increaising the life
of the detector. Md, when the Si1C needs cleaning, iYs literolly a
snap urith GE's patented field reploceable optical chamber.
The GE S 11C photoelecUic smoice detector is a low-profiie, self-di-
a9nostic, two-++vire detector thnt rronitors its own snsitiuity and
operational stotus. This detedor meets NFPA 72 fie4d sensitivity
requirements without the ►eed for extemal meters.
Built-in drift compensation automatically adjusts the sensitivity as
the detector get5 dirty. Norrnal sensing oaurs every 9 seconds. This
rate doubles when a signol exceeding the alarm threshold value is
sensed. Twro additional wccessie signols abve the threshold level
will initiate an alorm.
