The Globe Quick Response GL Series Sprinklers are a low profile
yet durable design which utilizes a 3mm frangible glass ampule as the =�-

The heart of Globe's GL Series sprinkler proven actuating ,�;�„
assembly is a hermetically sealed frangible glass ampule that contains � �"
a precisely measured amount of fluid. When heat is absorbed, the -��w���=
liquid within the bulb expands increasing the internal pressure. At the
prescribed temperature the internal pressure within the ampule ex-
ceeds the strength of the glass causing the glass to shatter. This results � ���
in water discharge which is distributed in an approved pattern depend-

The Gruvlok�Clamp-T provides a quick and easy outlet
at any location along the pipe A hole drilled or cut in
the pipe to receive the locating collar of the Clamp-T is
all that is required. The full, smooth outlet area provides
for optimum flow characteristics. :�,

to the pipe O.D. and the Clamp-T gasket providing a leak
tight reliable seal in both positive pressure and vacuum

GENERAL NOTES:
1, The Sprinkler System is designed in accordance with the
requirements of NFPA -13 2002 Edition, Instillation of
Sprinkler Systems and the 2010 Florida Building Code.

4. All material shall be UL listed & FM approved.
5. All pipe to be black steel SCH -7 for welded pipe and BLT
for threaded pipe with Ductile Iron fittings.
6. All work to be tested at 200 PSI for 2 hours. Test to be
witnessed by fire inspector, Call 24 hours ahead to schedule,
7. Hangers to be per details on drawing. Hangers to be spaced
in accordance with NFPA -13 requirements.
8. Cap to be provided at the end of each main for flushing
purposes.
9. For further information concerning Structural, Mechanical,
Architectural, and Electrical see plans by the architect.
10. Sprinkler heads to be as shown on legend.
11. Sprinkler piping to be run as shown on plan.
12. All work to be coordinated with the otter trades prior to
any fabrication.
13. All underground work shall be perfora*d by a licensed
fire protection contractor. Underground pipe to be as
required by engineer & per NFPA requirements.
14. See submittal data for manufactures Catails on items and
equipment being used,
15. All control valves will have tamper switches installed
including the backflow unit, Operation of switches will not
affect the operation of the sprinkler flow switch, (Wiring
by others)
16. Flow switches shall be connected to fire alarm system as
an automatic indicating device, (Wiring by others)
17. The owner is responsible for providing adequate heat to
protect the system(s) from freezing.
18. Welded pipe to be in accordance with the latest edition of
NFPA -13 & the requirements of AWS 0 10.9, level AR -3.
19. All electrical control and or alarm system wiring to be
provided and installed by others.
20. The owner is responsible for maintaining the proper
operating condition of his / her systems) and devices.
