AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA AMENDING SECTION 10.02.05.04, "TERMS
OF OFFICE" (HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD) OF THE CITY OF
ZEPHYRHILLS LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the voters of the City of Zephyrhills passed a referendum on April 9, 2013
extending the terms of the Mayor, and City Council Members; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to match the terms of the Historic Preservation Board to
their terms.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED, AND ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS,FLORIDA, THAT:
SECTION 1: the City of Zephyrhills Land Development Code, Section 10.02.05.04, "TERMS
OF OFFICE" shall be amended to read as follows:

10.02.05.04 TERMS OF OFFICE. OR BK 884 PG 1540
The five Mmembers shall serve three year terms. ,_initial appointments shall be two
members for two years and three members for three years. There shall be initially ppointed
two members for three years; two members for two years, and one member for one year.
Members may be re-appointed on the expiration of their term. Members shall continue in office
until the appointment of a successor. Members appointed to fill a vacancy shall serve the
remainder of the un-expired term. This Board shall have appointments made prior to the annual
installment in June of each year.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall become effective upon passage on the second reading and
signing by the Mayor.
