Apri!9,2015
190-ft Self-Support Tower Structural Analysis CCI BU No 826548
TEP Project Number48i67.31573,Application 289616, Revision 1 Page 3
1) INTRODUCTION
This tower is a 190-ft self-support tower designed by Valmont Microflect in January of 1998. The tower was
originally designed for a wind speed of 105 mph per EIA/TIA-222-F for the appurtenances listed in Table 3. The
tower has been modified per reinforcement drawings prepared by Tower Engineering Professionals in July of
2013. TEP visited the site in November of 2013 to perform a post modification inspection. All information
provided to TEP was assumed to be accurate and complete.
2)ANALYSIS CRITERIA
The analysis has been performed in accordance with the ANSI/TIA-222-G-2-2009 Structural Standard for
Antenna Supportina Structures and Antennas—Addendum 2 using a 3-second gust wind speed of 106 mph with
no ice and 60 mph under service loads with the following design criteria:
1) Type of Analysis: Rigorous Structural Analysis
2) Classification of Structure: Class II
Definition: Structures used for services that due to height, use or location represent a significant
hazard to human life and/or damage to property in the event of failure and/or used for services that
may be provided by other means.
3) Exposure Cateaory: Exposure C
Definition: Open terrain with scattered obstructions having heights generally less than 30-ft. This
category includes flat, open country and grasslands.
4) Topographic Category: Category 1
Definition: No abrupt changes in general topography, e.g. flat or rolling terrain, no wind speed-up
consideration shall be required.
5) Earthquake Category: Not Considered
Commentary: Earthquake effects may be ignored per this standard for site locations where Ss does
not exceed 1.0. (Pasco County Max Ss= 0.10).
Table 1 -Proposed Antenna and Cable Information
Center Number Number Feed
Mounting Line Antenna
of Antenna Model of Feed Line Note
Level (ft) Elevation ntennas Manufacturer Lines Size(in) ,
ft ,
3 Andrew I SBNHH-1 D656
w/ Mount Pipe
171.0 1750 3 Ericsson RRUS-11
1 3/4 1
 3 Ericsson RRUS A2 Module
171.0 r 3 ` Tower Mounts VFA12-U
Notes:
1) See"Appendix B—Base Level Drawing"for assumed feed line configuration.
tnxTower Report-version 6.1.4.1
