That the owner will comply with a11 provisions of �the City of Zephyrhills ordinances and codes pertinent to the building. 3. That in t�e event vasious phases of construction are subcontracted, he will eTlgage only •prop�rly licensed subcontractors and will personal�y supervise such work. 4. �hat in the event the Building Inspector shall rec�,;re correct�.ons to be made, the ownes will assume full responsibility to insure •they are made, and upon completion wi11 ca11 for a re�nrnectian before proceeding with the building. 5. The exemption allows you, as the owner of yovr propeSty, to act as yout own contractor with cert=;n restrictions even though you do not have a licesise. You must .provide direct onsite supe=vision of the construction yovrself. You may build or improve a one-fam.ily or two-family resideace or a farm outbuildi.ng. You may also build - or improve a commescial building, pronided your costs do not exceed $25,000. , The building or residence must be for your own use or occupancy. St may not be built or substantially improved for sale or lease. If you sell or lease a building you have bvilt or substarit3.a11y i�proved yovrs�lf within 1 year aftES the constructioa is complete, the law wi11 pres�e •that you huilt or substantially i�proved •if for sale or lease, which is a violat�.on of this eXemption. You may not hire an unlicensed person to act as yovr ooatsactor or to supexvise people working on your building. 2t is your responsibility to make sure that people e�ployed by you have licenses rec�,;red by state law and by county or municipal liceasing ordiaances. You may not delegate the responsibility for supexvising work to a licensed contractor who is not. licensed to perform the wor7c being dnne. Any person working on your building who is not licensed must work uncier your direct supervision and must be P�ployad by you, which means that you must deduct F.2.C.A. aad withholcling tax and provide work s' mpp� tioa for that e�ployee, a11 as prescribed by law.
