<br /> components that could ailow a young chiid to crawl under,squeeze through,or climb over the tence, Gaies must
<br /> open outward,away ftom the pool area. The releasing mechanism of the latching device must be located on the
<br /> �OOOI side of the gate and so placed that it cannot be!reached by a young child over the top or through any
<br /> opening or gap. No opening fn the fence may be large enough to admit a four-inch sphere.
<br /> 2. Construct a screan enclasure around tha swtmming po;ol,spa, or hot tub with self-closing,s21f-latching, scr2en
<br /> doors. Latches on exterior, screen doors must be a minimum of 54 inches from tha exterior access standing
<br /> surFace. All screen enclosures require Building Permits.j
<br /> 3. Provide and utilf�e an approved,safety,swfmming pool,l spa,or hot tub covar that compii�s�vith ASTM F1346-91
<br /> {Standard Pertormance Specifications for Safety Covers for Slrrimming Pools,Spas,and liot Tubs). Such cover
<br /> must be capable of being securely fastened over the swi ming pool,spa,or hot tub when not In use.
