UNLICENSED CONTRACTORS AND CONTRACTOR RESPQNSIBILITIES: If the owner has hired a contractor or cantractars to undertake work, they may be required to be licensed in accardance with state and lacal regulatians. If the cantractor is not licensed as required by law, both the owner and cantractar may be cited for a misdemeanor violatian under state !aw lf the owner or intended contractor are uncertain as to what licensing requirements may apply for the i intended work, they are advised to contact the Pasco Caunty Building Inspection Division—Licensing Sectian at 727-847- ! 8009. Furthermore, if the owner has hired a contractor or cantractars, he is advised to have the contractor(s) sign �� partions of the "contractor Black" af this applicatian for which they wi11 be respansible. If you, as the owner sEgn as the cantractar, that may be an indication that he is not properly licensed and is not entitled ta permitting privileges in Pasco Caunty. Every permit issued shall become invalid unless the work authorized by such permit is commenced within six months of permit issuance, or if work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandaned for a period of six (6) months after the time the work is commenced.
