Trades and subcontractors employed in each stage. <br /> � <br /> � i . 02 ALTER.ATIONS, CUTTING AND PROTECTION <br /> ' A. Assign the work of moving, removal, cutting and patching, <br /> � to trades qualified to perform the work in a manner to <br /> � ; i cause the least damage to each type of work, and provide i <br /> i <br /> means of returning surfaces to appearance of new work. <br /> ' B. Perform cutting and removal work to minimum necessary, and <br /> in a manner to avoid damage to adjacent work. <br /> 1 . Cut finish surfaces such as masonry, tile, plaster or <br /> ' metals by methods to terminate surfaces in a straight <br /> line at a natural point of division. <br /> ' , C. Perform cutting and patching as specified in Section <br /> 01045 . <br /> � D. Protect existing finishes, equipment and adjacent work, <br /> which is scheduled to remain, from damage. <br /> 1 . Protect existing and new work from weather and extremes <br /> ' of temperature. <br /> a. Maintain existing interior work above 60 degrees F . <br /> � � b.
