<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> ZEPHYRHILLS,FLORIDA,LEVYING THE MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL
<br /> YEAR 2017-2018 FOR THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS.
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, has timely advised the
<br /> Pasco County Property Appraiser's office that it proposed to levy a millage rate of 6.35 mills,which
<br /> is more than the rolled back rate of 6.1358 mills computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(1)by
<br /> 3.49%; and
<br /> WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida did on September 11,2017
<br /> conduct a Public Hearing and a second Public Hearing on September 25, 2017, and following the
<br /> second Public Hearing,did adopt a tentative budget of Sixty-Three Million Three Hundred Eighty-
<br /> One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($63,381,259).
<br /> WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida did advertise on September
<br /> 21,2017,its intent to adopt a final budget and millage rate during a Public Hearing held September
<br /> 25, 2017; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, did after receiving input
<br /> from the general public, adopt a final budget of Sixty-Three Million Three Hundred Eighty-
<br /> OneThousand Two Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($63,381,259).
<br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,
<br /> Florida, sitting in regular session that:
<br /> 1. The millage rate to be levied for ad valorem taxes within the municipality of the City
<br /> of Zephyrhills for the 2017-2018 fiscal year shall be 6.35 mills, said rate has not
<br /> changed.
<br /> 2. This Ordinance shall become effective upon passage on the second reading and
<br /> signing by the Mayor.
<br /> The foregoing,Ordinance No. 1330-17 was read and passed on the first reading,following a public
<br /> hearing, in an pen and regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills,Florida, on
<br /> this 18th day of September, 2017.
