Fire Watch/EMS Stand-by: Fire Watch/EMS Stand-by is established by the Fire Marshal or <br /> designee at times where the total occupant load exceeds the building capacity for a special event, <br /> at large outdoor events where a there is a large crowd in a confined area, at an event where there <br /> may be a hazardous condition (example: fireworks display), when a fire alarm system is down <br /> for more than 4 hours, at activities requiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) and/or <br /> Paramedics to be in attendance for immediate medical care to the sick or injured, or at any other <br /> time the Fire Marshal or designee deem it necessary. <br /> Fire Watch/EMS Stand-by is paid at the employee's overtime rate, which is agreed to be 1.5 <br /> times the employee's hourly rate plus benefits. There shall be a two (2) hour minimum charge <br /> and a combination of EMT and Paramedic personnel may be used to lessen the charge. <br /> This resolution shall become upon execution. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT PASSED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida <br /> sitting in regular session this 27th day of November, 2017. <br /> Attest: <br /> Lori L.
