OR BK 3757 PG 19S <br /> 2 of 3 <br /> Tow Truck or Wrecker means any self-powered vehicle manufactured with the capacity to <br /> be utilized or which is actually utilized for the purpose of towing or transporting automobiles,trucks <br /> or buses. <br /> SECTION 71-23. Parking of Semi Tractor, Trailers or Trucks: It shall be unlawful to <br /> park or stand any semi tractor in any area,including the public streets and right-of-ways and private <br /> property, within a residential area with the city. It shall be unlawful to park or stand any trailer or <br /> truck which has a manufacturer's rated loaded capacity in excess of one and one half(1 1/2) tons at <br /> any time in any area,including the public streets and right-of-ways and private property within any <br /> residential area within the city. <br /> The parking of such semi tractors,trailers or such in residential areas is hereby declared to <br /> be a public nuisance. <br /> This prohibition is not to apply to any truck or semi truck that is temporarily loading or <br /> unloading. <br /> SECTION 71-24. Parking of Commercial Vehicles in Residential Areas;Exceptions: No <br /> person shall park, or cause Ito be parked, or allowed to have-parked, whether on private property or <br /> upon the public right-of-way, in any residentially zoned area of the city, more than one (1) <br /> commercial vehicle for each residential dwelling owned or occupied by said person. Said <br /> commercial vehicles may not have manufacturer's rated load capacity more than one and one-half <br /> (1 1/2)tons in weight. No person shall park a commercial vehicle in any residentially zoned area <br /> of the city unless said person owns or occupies the residential dwelling at which said vehicle is <br /> u Y.a'.ii. <br /> There will be excepted from above the following: <br /> i. Any emergency vehicle, vehicle necessary for service by any public utility, or <br /> commercial vehicles necessary for service to any dwelling, during the time said service is <br /> actually being performed. <br /> ii. Any commercial vehicle of any size which is parked in a.closed garage. <br /> SECTION 71-25. Parking of towtrucks and wreckers in residential areas: It shall be <br /> unlawful for any person, his employee or agent to park, stop or have standing any towtruck or <br /> wrecker in any residentially zoned area of the city. <br /> It shall be unlawful for any owner or tenant to have parked, stopped or have standing on his <br /> residential property any towtruck or wrecker. <br /> Any towtruck or wrecker actually performing towing or wrecking services to any motor <br /> vehicle shall be exempt from the above during the time said services are being performed;pro vided, <br /> that said services are pursued in a reasonable and diligent manner. <br /> This section shall supersede Section 71-23 in regards to all towtrucks and wreckers. <br /> SECTION 71-26.Parking of Recreational Vehicles: Any recreational vehicle parked in a <br /> residential area,must either be part in a closed garage or placed in the rear yard and comply with rear <br /> line and side line set backs for the residential zoning district where it is parked. Rear yard shall be <br /> defined as that portion of the lot located behind that point of the structure furthest from the front <br />
