OR BK 5910 PG 1472 <br /> • T <br /> 25 of 25 <br /> Policy 4.1.2: The City shall continue cooperation between the Building <br /> and Zoning Department and Development Department to <br /> establish an effective process to indicate all designated properties by <br /> 2002. <br /> Policy 4.1.3: The City will continue to promote Community <br /> Development Block Grants (CDBG) applications for historic <br /> preservation activities. <br /> Policy 4.1.4: The City will complete all requirJments necessary for <br /> Certified Local Government status and will apply for same by 2003. <br /> Policy 4.1.5: The City, Mainstreet Zephyrhills, Inc. and the Zephyrhills <br /> Historical Association will continue to work together on an on-going <br /> basis towards the designation of properties and to explore funding <br /> sources for their restoration,rehabilitation, and interpretation. <br /> Policy 4.1.6: The City will work with the County's Historic <br /> Preservation Program to identify properties located outside of the City <br /> limits that are historically associated with the Colony period(1910- <br /> 1920). <br /> Policy 4.1.7: The City will work with the County's Historic <br /> Preservation Program to promote benefits of the County's programs to <br /> the citizens of Zephyrhills such as the tax exemption program, Pasco <br /> County Register of Historic Places, and the historical marker program. <br /> GOAL 5.0: ECONOMIC INCENTIVES. The City shall maintain a program for the provision <br /> of financial incentives for historic preservation purposes. <br /> Objectives 5.1: The City shall support the programs and incentives provided by the <br /> local state and national preservation organizations. <br /> Policy 5.1.1: The City will adopt an ad valorem tax exemption <br /> ordinance and promote its availability to the public by 2001. <br /> Policy 5.1.2: The City will promote the availability of the County's tax <br /> exemption program to owners of designated properties in Zephyrhills. <br /> Policy 5.1.3: The City will promote the availability of the Federal Tax <br /> Incentive Program for the rehabilitation of historic income-producing <br /> properties. <br /> Policy 5.1.4: The City will continue to monitor, and when appropriate, <br /> support state and national legislation and incentive programs related to <br /> historic preservation. <br /> Policy 5.1.5: The City will investigate, and when appropriate,pursue <br /> grant and/or other funds that will assist in funding rehabilitation or <br /> restoration of historic properties on an on-going basis. <br /> Policy 5.1.6: The City will continue to make available CDBG funds for <br /> appropriate historic preservation purposes. <br /> Policy 5.1.7: The City will continue to provide information and <br /> technical support in the use of all local, state and federal financial <br /> incentives that are available, and will attempt to raise public awareness <br /> about these incentives. <br /> 19 <br />
