10R BK 5816 PG 1609 <br /> 16 of 24 <br /> d. All such signs shall be removed or made to conform to the <br /> provisions of this Section when a certificate of occupancy is issued; and <br /> e. The height and size of all construction signs shall be limited <br /> according to the following restrictions: <br /> In residential zoning districts: <br /> Maximum four and one-half(4%2) square feet in sign surface area <br /> where the property being constructed has a street frontage of less than five <br /> hundred(500) feet. The sign shall not exceed six(6) feet in height. <br /> Maximum eight (8) square feet in sign surface area where the <br /> property being constructed has a street frontage of five hundred (500) feet <br /> or more. The sign shall not exceed six (6) feet in height. <br /> In all other districts: <br /> Maximum eight (8) square feet in sign surface area, where the <br /> property being constructed has a street frontage less than two hundred <br /> (200) feet. The sign shall not exceed ten(10) feet in height. <br /> Maximum sixteen (16) square feet in sign surface area, where the <br /> property being constructed has a street frontage of two hundred (200) feet <br /> or more. The sign shall not exceed ten (10) feet in height. <br /> 17. Two (2) non-illuminated political campaign signs per candidate or issue <br /> for each residential or nonresidential parcel not to exceed eight (8) square feet in <br /> area. <br /> 18. In nonresidential zoning districts, one (1) sandwich sign per business <br /> establishment having a certificate of occupancy placed on the sidewalk no further <br /> than five (5) feet from the main entrance door of the structure of the establishment <br /> and with a maximum height of three and a half (31/h) feet and maximum sign <br /> structure width of two (2) feet. The sign shall not be placed in the public right-of- <br /> way and shall not be placed so as to obstruct pedestrian traffic along the sidewalk. <br /> 8.07.00 Nonconforming Signs <br /> A. Any sign, lawfully erected within the City of Zephyrhills on the effective date of <br /> this Code which does not conform to the requirements of this Code, shall be treated as a <br /> nonconforming sign pursuant to this subsection. <br /> B. The following signs shall be removed or made to conform to this Section within <br /> ninety(90) days from the effective date thereof: <br /> 1. All temporary signs other than those allowed herein. <br /> 2. All prohibited signs except outdoor advertising structures. <br /> C. Any nonconforming on-site sign which is destroyed or substantially damaged <br /> shall not be repaired or rebuilt except in conformity with this Section. <br /> D. A nonconforming on-site sign shall not be replaced by another nonconforming <br /> sign. However, substitution of letters, poster panels, and painted boards, or demountable <br /> material on nonconforming signs shall be allowed. The provisions of this subsection do not apply <br /> to signs relocated or reconstructed as a result of condemnation action by any governmental <br /> agency as provided for in this Code. Routine repair and maintenance is allowed as long as it <br /> does not increase the sign surface area, sign structure area or height of the sign. <br /> 8.08.00 Special Purpose Signs. <br /> • <br /> 16 <br />
