SECTION 5-2. MAINTENANCE OF CONTROL STRUCTURES: <br /> • <br /> Structural controls and other BMP's used to reduce pollutants in stormwater discharges shall be operated <br /> and maintained so as to function in accordance with the permitted design or performance criteria in <br /> compliance with NPDES or other permit conditions. Operation and maintenance shall be done so as <br /> to assure treatment of stormwater or reduction in pollutants in stormwater discharges consistent with <br /> appropriate federal, state,water management district, or local rules or permit requirements. <br /> ARTICLE 6-EXEMPTIONS <br /> SECTION 6-1. EXEMPTIONS: aR BK ps <br /> 7of 10 <br /> The following activities shall be exempt from the requirements of this Ordinance: <br /> A. Discharges from: <br /> • water line flushing; <br /> • landscape irrigation; <br /> • uncontaminated ground water infiltration(as defined at 40 CFR 35.2005(20)) <br /> to separate storm sewers; <br /> • <br /> uncontaminated pumped arc and water; <br /> • discharges from potable water sources; <br /> • air conditioning condensate; _ <br /> • irrigation water; <br /> • springs; <br /> • lawn watering; <br /> • individual residential car washing; <br /> • flows from riparian habitats and wetlands; <br /> • street wash waters; <br /> • discharges or flows from emergency fire fighting activities. <br /> B. Discharges which meet the water quality standards of Chapter 17-302 FAC,and any amendment <br /> thereto. <br /> C. Discharges from facilities in compliance with the conditions of all required NPDES permits <br /> issued under the authority of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. <br /> ARTICLE 7-ORDINANCE ADMINISTRATION <br /> 7 <br />
