<br /> PROVIDING DEFINITIONS; SPECIFYING
<br /> EXEMPTION; SPECIFYING UNLAWFUL ACTS.OF
<br /> DISCRIMINATION IN THE SALE OR RENTAL OF
<br /> BROKERAGE SERVICE; PROVIDING FOR THE
<br /> ADMINISTRATION OF THIS ORDINANCE;
<br /> PROVIDING FOR PROCEDURES FOR INITIATION
<br /> AND ACTING UPON COMPLAINTS; PROVIDING
<br /> FOR HEARINGS; PROVIDING FOR OTHER
<br /> REMEDIES "PROVIDING PROCEDURES ' FOR

<br /> COMMISSION OF THE STATE. OF FLORIDA;
<br /> REPEALING ' CONFLICTING " ORDINANCES;
<br /> PROVIDING FOR LIMITED INVALIDATION AND
<br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
<br /> Zephyrhills, Florida, as follows:
<br /> SECTION I-Declaration of Policy: It is hereby declared to be the policy of the
<br /> City of Zephyrhills,Florida in the exercise of its police power for the public safety, public
<br /> health, and general welfare, to assure equal opportunity to obtain adequate housing by
<br /> all persons, regardless of race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, familial statue,
<br /> or handicap, and, to that end, to eliminate discrimination in housing.
<br /> SECTION H-Definitions:
<br /> (a) = "Council" means the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida.
<br /> (b) "Dwelling" means any building, structure, or portion hereof which is
<br /> occupied as, or designated or intended for occupancy as, a residence by one or more
<br /> families, and any vacant land which is offered for sale or lease for the construction or
<br /> location thereon of any such building, structure, or portion thereof.
<br /> (c) "Family" includes a single individual.
<br /> (d) "Person" includes one or more individuals, corporations, partnerships,
<br /> associations, labor organizations, legal representatives, mutual companies, point-stock
<br /> companies, trusts, unincorporated organizations, trustees, trustees in bankruptcy,
<br /> receivers, and fiduciaries.
<br /> (e) "To Rent"includes to lease,to sublease,to let and otherwise to grant for
<br /> a consideration the right to occupy premises not owned by the occupant. '
