Ordinance No. 519 and in particular the regulations of the <br /> Zephyrhills Land Development Code incorporated therein are <br /> amended by establishing Section 6513, which shall read as <br /> follows : <br /> ADULT ENTERTAINMENT USES - <br /> A. Intent. Based on evidence and testimony concerning the <br /> adverse secondary effects of adult uses on the community <br /> presented at public hearings before the City Council of the City <br /> of Zephyrhills, Florida, and on the findings incorporated in the <br /> City of Renton .v. Playtime Theaters, Inc. , 106 S.Ct. 925 (1986 ) ; <br /> Coleman A. Young v. .•Amer.i•can Mini Theaters, Inc . , 427 US 50, 49 L <br /> Ed 2d 310, 96 S Ct 2440 reh den (US) 50 L ED 2d 155, 97 S Ct 191; <br /> Summary and presentation of reports, studies and judicial <br /> opinions concerning the adverse secondary effects of adult uses <br /> on the community; Northend Cinema, Inc. v. Seattle, 90 Wash. 2d <br /> 709, 585• P. 2d 1153 ( 1978) ; A Report on Zoning and Other Methods <br /> of Regulating Adult Entertainment in Amarillo, Texas dated <br /> September 12, 1977 ; Regulation of Criminal Activity and Adult <br /> Businesses . An <br /> Analysis, 1987 : <br /> B. Prohibited Locations and Distance Provisions. <br /> ( i) No person shall cause or permit the operation of or <br /> enlargement of, any adult entertainment establishment which, <br /> while in operation or after enlargement would or will be located <br /> within 1, 000 feet of a pre-existing _ adult entertainment <br /> establishment; 500 feet ofa p±e—exist= ng� :religious institution; <br /> 500 feet for a. pre-existing educational institution; 500 feet of <br /> an area zoned within the City for residential use ; 500 feet of a <br /> pre-existing Park; or 500 feet of a pre-existing commerical <br /> establishment that in any manner sells or dispenses alcohol for <br /> on-premises consumption.
